Individual Giving Associate

Basic Functions

Lead the Individual Giving and Sustaining Fund program for philanthropic support from members.

Position Qualifications

Education

Bachelors degree required.

Experience

Minimum 5 years and Association experience preferred

Other

  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • CFRE certification preferred
  • Some travel required

Essential Duties

  • Develop, manage and execute sustaining and long range plans to meet specific fundraising goals for the program
  • Direct efforts to acquire new donors, renew, and upgrade current donors through a variety of fund raising initiaitives.
  • Identify donor prospects through segmentation of donor and membership records.
  • Identify, cultivate and solicit prospects to secure gifts.
  • Develop recognition and stewardship plans for the sustaining fund program.
  • Develop targeted appeals for multiple sustaining fund constituencies - members, committees, leadership.
  • Oversee marketing efforts for development campaigns and programs, including articles in PSN and the creation of a donor newsletter
  • Coordinate, produce and facilitate production of content for member communications (articles, annual reports, etc.) about the impact of the Foundation's programs
  • Promote and coordinate activities to increase membership in the deferred giving recognition societies including the Maliniac Circle
  • Develops and implements online strategies for increasing support through internet-based philanthropy.
  • Work with IT and Development staff to maintain a robust donor presence and foundation website
  • Develop and execute a plan for marketing planned gifts
  • Assist the Director, Corporate Development with staffing the Development Committee
