Spend less time coding and more time focusing on quality care

Send a claim once and get paid. That's the goal. Simple, right? Not always.

The Coding Workshop teaches plastic surgeons and their office administrators, practice managers, and billing/coding specialists the science of reimbursement. Learn about CPT code changes, Medicare 2012 and more.  Avoid the pitfalls. Spend less time fixing coding mistakes and more time focusing on quality care.

The workshop will feature a full day of real life coding cases/scenarios. Topics covered will include:

  • NEW! 2012 codes: skin substitutes, including biologic implants and collagenase injections for Dupuytren's contracture
  • Lesion excision and wound repair codes
  • Adjacent tissue transfers
  • Flaps, grafts, debridements and surgical prep codes
  • Reconstructive breast surgery -- lots of examples as well as DIEP flaps
  • Panniculectomy vs. abdominoplasty -- what to bill insurance vs. what is cosmetic
  • Burn care
  • Cleft lip & palate repairs
  • Crainosynostosis procedures
  • Facial fractures
  • Hand surgery -- with and without vascular and nerve repair
  • Microsurgery: use of the operating microscope
  • Nasal procedures
  • Wound care and wound VAC (negative pressure wound therapy)
