Program Overview

Spend four days with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) reviewing board-relevant cases and you'll leave feeling more confident and better prepared to take The American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) Oral & Written Board Examinations. It's also a great tool for practicing surgeons preparing for recertification or fulfilling their maintenance of certification hours.

2013 Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Anticipate patient safety issues and address patient concerns using language easy for the patient to understand
  • Assess and describe their current knowledge of plastic surgery and identify areas where further study would be beneficial
  • Compare approaches to complex plastic surgery problems with colleagues
  • Respond to clinical questions in a concise, orderly manner
  • Describe the format of the oral and written board examinations
  • Assess the psychological aspects of taking an oral and written examination

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons® (ASPS ®) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Designation
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) designates this live activity for a maximum of 35.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Three of the 35.5 credits have been identified as applicable to Patient Safety.
