His 20 years treating patients with innovative new therapies as a surgeon and 12 years in health care policy at the highest levels of government serves as the backdrop as he presents his vision of increased availability and affordability of quality health care. He will discuss his long, hard fight to strengthen Medicare and provide seniors with better access to prescription drugs, emphasizing prevention, wellness and lowering costs to the consumer. During his extensive career as one of the country's foremost surgeons, Frist performed over 150 heart and lung transplants, which means he not only is educated on the topic, he has also lived his word.
