Program Overview

The ASPS Plastic Surgery Senior Residents Conference will provide you with information essential to building your future practice. This year's program places an emphasis on practice management that includes success tips, common practice problems, mistakes to avoid in the first years of practice, planning your financial future, legal interactions and CPT® coding sessions to gain a better understanding of coding nomenclature and the reimbursement process. In addition to these sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to deliver papers of scientific merit, and prizes will be awarded for outstanding presentations. Most importantly, this conference will provide the opportunity to network with fellow residents from training programs across the U.S.

Submission Details:

  • Submissions open October 1, 2009 and close November 13, 2009.
  • Online technical support will be available. For non-technical questions, please contact ASPS.
  • Abstract categories are Aesthetic, Congenital/Pediatric, Hand, Maxillofacial, Microsurgery, Reconstruction/Burn and Research.
  • Abstract length is limited to 600 words or less. Abstracts not conforming to the prescribed format will be returned to the author and will not be considered for presentation.
  • Abstracts should include the following sections: Purpose, Methods, Results and Conclusions.
  • Abstracts must be original clinical and/or basic science works of the presenting author.
  • Residents may submit more than one paper, but will be limited to one presentation.
  • Awards are based on clarity, presentation, validity, and originality.

The Anaheim Marriott is located 35 miles from los Angeles International Airport, 15 miles from orange County/John Wayne Airport, and 20 miles from long beach Airport. Information on ground transportation will be provided with meeting and confirmation materials.

The registration fee for residents includes course materials, admission to the sessions and exhibits, receptions and indicated meals. All registrants must pay the full registration fee; one-day registration is not available. Spouse/accompanying guest registration includes admittance to the two receptions (limit of one accompanying guest per paid registrant). Space is limited and registration will be accepted on a first received, first-processed basis.
