On Saturday, February 4, 2012, ASPS was contacted by members who received a malicious email similar to the spam some members received last week. Like the previous email, this variation claims to be ASPS communication and asks members to click on a link to update their account information. Members are then taken to a malicious site containing the ASPS logo and links to popular email services like Gmail and AOL. It is the intent of the spammer to capture members' email addresses and passwords.
ASPS has, in each of these incidents, worked with internet hosting companies to have the abusing sites disabled.
