Staff Vice President of Finance, IT & Administration
Mark Espinosa is the staff vice president of finance, IT and administration, responsible for the budget, treasury, investments and risk management of ASPS and The Plastic Surgery Foundation (The PSF).
In this role, he oversees the staff responsible for accounting and financial reporting, payroll, document center and facilities. He also manages the governance and membership administration functions for both the Society and The PSF.
In his previous role as controller and director of finance, Mark re-engineered the monthly and annual financial close process which resulted in a 50 percent reduction in the annual audit timeline.
Mark joined ASPS as a staff accountant in 2000 and has since made numerous contributions in his finance and information technology roles. As a senior accounting analyst, Mark developed a robust budget planning program currently used to manage annual budgets for ASPS and The PSF. Over the past ten years, he has led or participated in several major technology implementations, including a new time management system, association management software, project management system and Intranet SharePoint launch.
Mark is a Northern Illinois University graduate and lives with his wife Joanna in Chicago. He plays softball when Chicago weather permits, and enjoys trying new restaurants.
