What is the ASPS Practice Marketing App?
A customized practice marketing tool that:
• Provides robust electronic patient education content
• Is at the fingertips of your patients
• Is exclusive to members
• Is cost-effective

How long will it take to complete the AppBuilder?
If you have all materials gathered in advance, the AppBuilder process should take about 60-90 minutes.

Is the app only visible on mobile devices?
The app is only available on the iPad® at this time. ASPS is considering options to integrate the mobile app and the ASPS Enhanced Listing.

Does my first and last name or practice name appear when people search for my app?
Your app name is how people can easily find your app in the App Store℠.

Can I use photos from my Enhanced Listing in the app?
Yes, simply check the “Display on Mobile App” checkbox underneath each set of photos.

Can I use photos from my WebGold account in the app?
Not at this time. We’re looking to integrate those photos with the app in the future.

Are patient photo consents required and do I need to provide each consent form?
Photo consents are required, but a copy of each consent form does not need to be provided. You are asked to confirm that you have a consent form each time you upload a photo. Forms are available online to ASPS members.

How do I gather the necessary graphic files?
Your graphic designer or web developer can, most likely, provide the correct files. Refer to the Photo Guidelines document in the Appendix for exact requirements.

Is there a limit to the number of photos or procedures I can include in the app?
There is a predetermined list of procedures in the AppBuilder; please choose only those you perform.
A maximum of 24 photo pairs can be uploaded. Since photos are downloaded over the internet, this cap was put in place to maximize the speed and performance of your app.

ASPS sends me a link to my app on the App Store, but how do others find my App?
The quickest way to find your app is to search by the App Name you chose (i.e. Arlington Plastic Surgery).
You can also search for “ASPS”. This is a broader search that will pull up all Apps that ASPS has developed. Click on any App with the ASPS logo and you can click on “Developer Page” below the search bar, or view more Apps by ASPS in the left-hand column.

Please note it can take up to 30 days for your App to be approved, and you will not be able to find it on the App Store℠ until you receive a link to it from ASPS.

How do I renew my ASPS Practice Marketing App after the first year?
Your hosting and maintenance fee will be automatically renewed at $499 per year with little to no interruption of service.
