The Breast Reconstruction Awareness Campaign
Together We Have the Power to Close the Loop on Breast Cancer
Our Powerful Promise
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and The Plastic Surgery Foundation (The PSF) are committed to the reconstructive education and empowerment of women facing breast cancer. Launched by ASPS/PSF in the United States in 2012, the Breast Reconstruction Awareness Campaign brings together thousands of women's health advocates across the country for a common purpose – to raise awareness about reconstructive rights and options available to women who have experienced mastectomy or lumpectomy due to breast cancer treatment.
The success of the Breast Reconstruction Awareness Campaign comes from the powerful partners who generously support this important cause. The sponsors of the Breast Reconstruction Awareness Campaign have made a difference, but we know there's more to do.
Empowering Women Every Day
With the help of its sponsors, the Breast Reconstruction Awareness Campaign will provide education, empower breast cancer patients and celebrate survivorship. With your support, we will continue to arm women with the information they deserve to help them "close the loop" on breast cancer through choosing the best care protocols for them. You can be a part of that power!
The Power of the Day
The flagship event of the Breast Reconstruction Awareness Campaign is Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day, which occurs in October. Since 2012, on the 3rd Wednesday of October, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and The Plastic Surgery Foundation have celebrated Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day with the unwavering support of dedicated sponsors and the partnership of plastic surgeon offices.
