Updated yearly, the In-Service Examination provides the most current information on the core curriculum of plastic surgery. The exam offers surgeons in practice the opportunity to challenge themselves and assess their knowledge of the entire scope of plastic surgery. Relevant questions in basic science will be included in each of the four categories.
Equal emphasis will be placed on:
- Comprehensive
- Hand/Extremity
- Craniomaxillofacial
- Cosmetic/Breast
Learning Objectives
- Identify the most up-to-date information on the core curriculum of plastic surgery
- Self Assess base knowledge of the four clinical component areas
- Establish a benchmark for areas of focus needing further concentrated educational efforts
- Attend appropriate educational activities based upon self-assessment evaluation

October 18, 2012 | Early Registration Opens
January 31, 2013 | Early Registration Ends
February 15, 2013 | Final Registration Deadline (Registration will not be accepted after this date)
March 11 - April 8, 2013 | Open test window for completion of online In-Service Examination by surgeons in practice
May 6, 2013 | Complete test results, quartile percentages, syllabus and claim processes are available online
October 1, 2013 | Last day scores, norm table and syllabus content will be available online
