Dr Leonard Tachmes specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face and body. The practice philosophy centers around providing excellent care and service to all our patients in a professional and respectful environment. In 2011, he opened the Miami Beach Plastic Surgery Center and Medspa, a 3000 sq foot state of the art plastic surgery clinic and medspa on beautiful Lincoln Road, South Beach. His practice is the only clinic under the supervision of a board certified plastic surgeon on South Beach. WWW.TachmesMD.com
His interests include surgical and non-surgical treatments of the aging face, fat transfer to face, breasts and buttocks, breast aesthetic surgery, ultrasonic liposuction for body contouring, abdominoplasty procedures, non-surgical facial rejuvenation using PRP injections, Botox, Juvederm, Sculptra and skin cancer reconstructive procedures of the face.
Dr. Tachmes has a special interest in reconstructive or revisional breast surgery for patients who have undergone previous breast surgery and are experiencing saline or silicone breast implant related problems. "There exists a growing population of women with breast implant related complications who require complex and sophisticated revisional surgery solutions for their unique issues," says Dr. Tachmes. "Each patient must be evaluated individually, and a customized surgical plan must be tailored to address and correct their aesthetic deformities." Procedures involve removal of existing breast implants, repair of pocket deformities, removal of breast pocket scar tissue, secondary mastopexy procedures and re-augmentation with new saline or silicone implants. "The goal is always to achieve and restore a natural, anatomically correct breast shape and symmetry," he says.
Dr. Tachmes has extensive experience in abdominoplasty or tummy tuck surgery during the last fourteen years in practice. He has developed a unique method of abdominoplasty surgery that produces a contoured, anatomically correct abdominal wall. His technique involves targeted liposculpting of the abdominal skin flap and the areas surrounding the umbilicus. His method of non-tension umbilicus reconstruction creates an aesthetically satisfying bellybutton with minimal evidence of previous surgical intervention.
