Practice Philosophy
Sometimes people ask why I decided to go into solo practice while also maintaining Clinical Adjunct Faculty at both Duke and UNC in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The answer to this is two-fold. First-off, I am grateful for the opportunity to operate a solo practice and to have personally hand-selected every member of our highly educated office staff. The CARE Plastic Surgery staff are equally as enthusiastic about plastic and reconstructive surgery. Not only are they highly educated, speak multiple languages and have advanced graduate school education, above all they are truly caring. I honestly cannot say that this would be the case if I had chosen to work in a large, busy hospital. As a private boutique practice we are able to offer extremely individualized and personalized attention to detail and service thanks in large part to our staff. Secondly, my passions also include teaching, researching and sharing innovative knowledge and breaking technologies not just with patients, but also with the plastic and reconstructive surgery residents. I consider it a great honor to be a trusted clinical adjunct faculty member at both world-class programs for UNC-Chapel Hill and the Duke Plastic and Reconstructive surgery program and an adjunct member of the medical school faculty.
