James F. Boynton, MD, FACS, is an ASPS Member plastic surgeon who is board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery® and trained specifically in plastic surgery. ASPS members operate only in accredited medical facilities, adhere to a strict code of ethics and fulfill continuing medical education requirements in plastic surgery, including training in patient safety techniques. Meet Dr. James Boynton
I am passionate about plastic surgery and see it as truly an art and a science. My father was a well-known modern Texas artist, and I was raised with a strong exposure and background in art. Plastic surgery is really the ultimate crossroads of art and science for me within the medical field.
As as board certified Plastic Surgeon in Houston, I strive to treat each patient as I would my own family, to deliver an unparalleled level of patient care and safety. Whether it be a breast enhancement procedure (such as breast augmentation or breast reduction), a body contouring procedure (such as tummy tuck or liposuction) or a facial rejuvenation procedure (such as facelift or eyelid surgery), the core values, attention to detail and anatomy are essentially all related in the practice of plastic surgery. My unwavering practice philosophy is to provide the safest, highest quality plastic surgery care to my patients. I routinely evaluate and refine new and emerging plastic surgery techniques and technologies as a means of yielding advantageous and natural-looking patient results.
After graduating from Duke University, I returned to my hometown to earn my medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. I then went on to complete my General Surgery Residency at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, followed later by my Plastic Surgery Residency at CHRISTUS St. Joseph Hospital in Houston. Beginning in 2011, I have been annually named a “Regional Top Doctor” in aesthetic plastic surgery by Castle Connolly. I have also been voted to the Texas Super Doctors® list by my medical peers each year since 2012. Devoted to continuing my education within the field of aesthetic surgery, I remain actively involved in the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Boynton’s goal with each patient consultation is to provide all necessary information that they need to make a well-informed decision as to whether plastic surgery is right for them. Dr. James Boynton plans to spend as much time as possible with each and every patient and tries to listen to all of their concerns while answering each and every question. He always makes himself available by email to answer follow-up questions that may arise, and he utilizes imaging technologies as well as informative web programs and videos to educate his patients about various procedures. 11 Aug 2019 - Thrilled with results: Male Tummy Tuck and Gyno surgery post-200 lb weight loss. Through a lot of work, I lost about 200 pounds without bariatric surgery. Due to my weight loss I identified several opportunities for cosmetic surgery: gynecomastia (male breast enlargement), significant skin and some trapped fat around my belly and sides, and a very fatty mons. I met with several surgeons in the Houston area, but my consultation with Dr Boynton was the most impressive. In that first meeting, we not only got to know each other as people, but he also gave me a reasonable idea of how he would proceed with my particular goals and issues in mind. I liked that. I could also tell that Dr. Boynton takes a thoughtful, safety-oriented approach to his work- rather than many surgeons who promised to do it all in one procedure, Boynton identified my need to take a more long-term, multistage approach. I felt safe and well cared for from day one. My first procedure was in April and consisted of gynecomastia surgery with lipo on my flanks. The procedure itself went well, and I felt supported and cared for through the whole process. With Boynton, the surgery itself is only one step in the healing process, and the care and extreme attention to detail that was evident pre-surgery continued throughout my many follow-up consultations long after the procedure. I believe my healing and my final results have been improved by the excellent aftercare I received. My biggest procedure came in July and consisted of an abdominoplasty and monsplasty with liposuction on my flanks. I'm currently healing from this, and as before, Boynton and his excellent staff have supported me, answered my questions, and coached me through a successful recovery so far. In the future, I may need some follow-up procedures and I would not dream of going anywhere else. Dr Boynton's results, demeanor, and the excellent service at Boynton Plastic Surgery have won a loyal patient for life.
12 Jun 2019 - Face and Neck Lift In Office. Dr. Boynton and his staff are very professional, personable, and easy to talk to about questions or concerns. My goal was to get rid of what I considered to be a long face, "sad look" expression. He performed a face lift and neck lift. This procedure did so much more. Dr. Boynton did an amazing job. My face looks happier, less stressed, younger, and most importantly very natural. At just 4 weeks post op, I am VERY satisfied with the outcome. I opted for in office, without anesthesia. In my opinion, anesthesia is really unnecessary for this procedure. I was given medication that made me so relaxed I was able to catch up on some much needed rest. I did not experience any discomfort during the procedure. I also took a good nap. Immediately after the procedure I felt like my normal self. Although I had some bruising, I had the procedure on a Thursday, and returned to work the following Tuesday. I would have returned on the following Monday, but I had the lip lift procedure on that day. The lip lift is must have compliment to this procedure. Look for my lip lift review.

23 Dec 2018 - Hands Down the Best of the Best Absolutely Amazing! I would recommend Dr. Boynton and his staff to anyone. Their entire team is wonderful. Dr. Boynton does amazing work and truly cares for his patients. He and his staff are the most professional and friendliest people I’ve met. They are the best you could ask for. They don’t cut corners, they provide the upmost care, and take their time. If I could give a 10 star rating I would.
16 Jan 2018 - Gynecomastia. I have suffered from gynecomastia for most of my life; at least from my early teenage years until now in my late 30's. It's always been a hindrance to my self-confidence and self image. I had read many times over the years about the condition and the avenues in which I might navigate if I were to take action. I woke up one day not long ago and made the decision to call and set up a consultation to see what options I had for my specific condition. I was excited and a bit nervous but it was the best decision I've ever made.
2 Jun 2017 - I recently had an upper and lower Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) with Dr. Boynton. He and his staff are absolutely amazing, first class all the way! I had an extremely wonderful experience throughout the entire process from the initial consultation to the post-operative visits. The customer service displayed by every staff member is outstanding and I was continuously impressed by the kindness, professionalism, and efficiency at every visit! It is apparent they truly care about you as a person and a patient! Dr. Boynton is an excellent Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with a compassionate and comforting bedside manner. He is beyond professional, personable, and sensitive with the care and handling of his patients. He was extremely thorough in answering all of my questions and making me feel as comfortable and at ease about my procedure. Dr. Boynton's expert craftsmanship has made me feel like a much better version of myself and I couldn't be more pleased with my "new" eyes! Family and friends cannot quit complimenting me on my new refreshed look! 24 May 2019 - Breast Augmentation. Great Experience!! Absolutely amazing!! Dr. Boynton and his staff made me feel super comfortable throughout the entire process. I had been wanting to get this done for a few years and it’s the best decision I ever made! My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner.
20 Sep 2017 - I recently had breast augmentation (9 days ago) I had an amazing experience. Dr Boynton is very professional and caring. I'm a petite woman and wanted a big silicone but he walked me through the problems of placing a big silicone at first on a small frame person and ensured me he would take good care of me. I was panicking at the surgery day but his team made me feel very calm and relaxed. I can't wait to see the final results

20 Apr 2017 - My results with Dr. Boynton are perfect. I had excess glandular tissue removed under local anesthesia in his office, and it was quick and painless. I essentially had no swelling, and was back to working out, and my normal routine within a couple of weeks. Dr. Boynton, Sandi, Kaitlin, and the entire staff made sure the whole process, from initial consultation, to post-op care, was stress free. I never waited more than a couple minutes for an appointment, they always answered my questions, and are friendly and professional. I've been wanting to get this done for awhile, and now that it's done, I wish I had come to him sooner. I can't attest to the work of other doctors, but there's no way I could've had better results with anyone else. Don't waste your time and money going anywhere else.
