Meet Dr. Thomas McNemar
Dr. Thomas McNemar believes that practicing plastic and reconstructive surgery is a delicate balance of the medical sciences, art, and the true understanding that every patient is unique with individual needs and desires.
Dr. McNemar's training is extensive. Born and raised in Ohio, he attended the Medical College of Ohio where he made the decision to pursue a surgical career. After completing a General Surgery Residency at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic, he continued his surgical education at Akron City Hospital as a Plastic Surgery Fellow. Realizing he possessed a natural gift for detail and perfection, he elected to round-out his formal education at the Bunke Clinic in San Francisco California as an Attending Fellow specializing in Hand and Microvascular Surgery. Currently, Dr. McNemar is a member of a private practice with offices in San Ramon and Tracy California. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
An appreciation for fine art, music, and athletics complement Dr. McNemar's formal education by demonstrating abilities in design, attention to detail, and aesthetic purpose. He views every patient as a fresh canvas utilizing the lessons of both his medical schooling and passion for art.
Personally, Dr. McNemar is married and the father of two wonderful children. He and his family have fallen in love with California and the abundance of outdoor leisure activities and fine art opportunities the bay area has to offer. He is an avid skier and cyclist. Additionally, he has an appreciation for the culinary arts and fine wine.
Of equal importance to formal education and professional dedication, is Dr. McNemar's philosophy that every patient is truly beautiful and unique. He understands individuals elect to pursue cosmetic surgery for very simple reasons to extremely complicated situations.
