Marketing Manager – Products and Services

This position can be fully remote. Our headquarters is located in Arlington Heights, IL.

What You Will Do

This position manages all ASPS product promotion and development work, including public education brochures, web and folder content, informed consent and coding resources and online education products. Develops messaging streams and marketing automation programs to create a nurturing funnel to continue and expand product sales to the most eligible customer bases for each product line. Conducts member surveys and focus groups as needed to identify customer needs in order to plan appropriate product creation, expansion or retirement. Oversees and assists Marketing Associate in the planning and developing of all necessary graphic design, convention booth and signage and promotional messaging related to developing and promoting the Society's product lines.

  • Manage multiple projects, establish project priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Think creatively and possess strong knowledge of the creative process
  • Work daily in Asana Project Management system to triage new marketing requests and ensure that marketing programs are on budget and on schedule
  • Manage ASPS product line budgets, providing monthly reforecasts and adjusting marketing plans as needed to achieve goals
  • Develop integrated marketing plans for product promotion of existing ASPS product lines, and research new product expansion and development opportunities
  • Oversee cyclical updates to existing ASPS products such as ICRs and Coding Resources
  • Conduct customer research to use in redeveloping and/or expanding brochure lines
  • Expand and market eNLIGHTEN line of e-brochures, working with Business Technology Team to improve product based on customer research
  • Work with Health Policy and Online Education project managers in the creative development of marketing communication strategies to efficiently achieve revenue goals
  • Create automated messaging streams to provide the right message to the right audience at the right time
  • Help maintain a consistent corporate graphic identity on internal and external projects
  • Manage design projects for brochures, advertisements, postcards, special event program books and other publications; Work with ASPS Design team to develop logos, charts, cover images, website banners, convention signage and booth displays as needed
  • Proactively participate in project meetings to suggest design and messaging direction that complements the defined strategies
  • Architect, write and enact successful marketing automation strategies to improve member product use and retention and provide the right message to the right audience at the right time
  • Evaluate effectiveness of campaigns using analytics; Test and monitor campaign metrics and recommend improvements

What You Will Need

  • Seven plus years of experience in writing-intensive roles in in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment related to marketing or advertising
  • Strong skills in copyediting, proofreading and writing required; Self-starter motivation and desire to innovate and develop new strategies a must
  • Previous agency experience is a plus; Knowledge of the healthcare industry is beneficial, and a willingness and aptitude to learn more is vital
  • Experience in SharePoint and Asana (collaboration tools), Aptify (association management software), Marketo (marketing automation software), Sprout Social and Hootsuite (social media management software) or other customer-management systems is also helpful
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing-Communications or comparable experience
