Program Manager I – Exhibits and Corporate Development

This position can be fully remote. Our headquarters is located in Arlington Heights, IL.

Basic Function

The Program Manager I – Exhibits and Corporate Development will design and execute sponsorship recognition packages and lead the sales process and follow up support, as necessary. The Program Manager will develop professional relationships with potential corporate and industry supporters, both domestically and internationally, of ASPS, The PSF and affiliated organization programming and initiatives with the intention of collaborating on sponsorships and branding opportunities that provide a value add to membership as well as appropriate return on investment for supporters.

What You Will Do

  • Administrative and operational duties associated with exhibits and sponsorship sales including invoicing, fulfillment of contracted deliverables and initiating and submitting orders for deliverables
  • Communicate with exhibitors and sponsors to determine and fulfill their needs, communicate with general service contractor
  • Provide onsite exhibit and sponsor management for our affiliate meetings and annual conference
  • Experience with online exhibition management platform A2Z or Map Your Show would be a plus
  • Responsible for securing funding to advance the society's interests by researching, identifying and soliciting sources of corporate support and by maintaining strong business relationships with corporate prospects.
  • Develop highly competitive proposals for corporate prospects and leverage diverse corporate goals and interests in conjunction with organization's goals; Works cross-functionally to develop and identify opportunities for corporate support and ensure execution of marketing and logistical tactics required for successful strategy deployment
  • Collaborates with department leadership and ASPS program-owners to determine corporate support goals and manages associated Corporate Development budgets
  • Serves as key contact to corporate sponsors and potential corporate sponsors for branding/sponsorship opportunities and liaises with Exhibits team to assist in securing corporate partners as exhibitors at live meetings
  • Follow up with corporate supporters to ensure expectations were met (survey, conference calls, etc.) for all branding/sponsorship involvement as part of an overall strategy to nurture and grow corporate relationships
  • This position requires 10% travel
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What You Will Need

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field or equivalent work experience

Experience

  • Three to five years of experience in marketing or development fundraising required

  • Working knowledge of the sales process – prospect/research, present, follow up, execution and evaluation

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), project management software a plus; Aptify competence a plus
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Deadline driven with good attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Detail oriented and adept at multi-tasking
  • Excellent technical skills, willingness to learn Aptify/SharePoint
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with peers and cross functional teams
