Aaron G. Weinstein
Editorial Director

Aaron Weinstein is the editorial director of the worldwide open access journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery – Global Open and the specialty's top-ranked journal, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS). Aaron is very interested in bringing together medical specialists from all over the world as authors and readers via traditional means and with the tools of the new web in order to enhance the quality of his Journals and improve the global conversation on plastic surgery.

He has put this interest in practice by overseeing publication of multi-media, multi-discipline Supplements, launching and growing award-winning online series, communities and tools, including monthly Video Discussions featuring expert surgeon commentary, public-facing Plastic Surgery Hot Topic videos featuring the Editor-in-Chief, #PRSJournalClub (a monthly Twitter Q&A), #PRSGrandRounds (a special series of lectures and discussion using Facebook Live), and the award-winning #PRSJournalClub Podcast. He also directs the social media strategies for both journals, administrates global-facing and resident-directed outreach initiatives for the journals, and oversees the editorial process for over 3,000 submitted articles each year.

Under the guidance of PRS Editor-in-Chief Kevin C. Chung, MD, MS, and PRS Global Open Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey E. Janis, MD, Aaron leads the Editorial Office team in Dallas (and Boston) and works closely with publishing partners at Wolters Kluwer Health.

Aaron joined the ASPS as an Editorial Assistant in 2005, after graduating from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, and a minor in Communications. He has since earned his Master of Science Degree in Publishing from Pace University. He lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife, two dogs and two amazing children, of whom he enjoys taking many pictures and will probably overshare with you if you ask him to.
