ASPS Establishes Supply Chain for Members to Safely Recommence Elective Surgery
As states begin to lift restrictions on elective surgery and office-based procedures, ASPS is taking steps to ensure that members can resume practice swiftly and safely.
Plastic Surgery Practice Solutions (PSPS), a subsidiary of ASPS, is purchasing bulk quantities of needed supplies and making them available for purchase by members only on the Shop ASPS website.
Initially, the focus is on PPE that is difficult for members to obtain through normal channels. Such items as N95 masks, isolation gowns and testing kits are among the critical supplies that PSPS has purchased or is negotiating to obtain.
The initial group of supplies will be available for purchase by members beginning Monday morning (May 4) at 9 a.m. (eastern). To make a purchase, log on to the ASPS website using your ASPS Member ID and proceed to the Shop ASPS page.
Please note that, initially, supplies may be limited and shipment times may vary from several days to several weeks. Some orders may be fulfilled by outside vendors with longer shipping times. Available quantities and estimated shipping times will be provided for each individual product listing. ASPS has added PPE products to ShopASPS to help members restock critical supplies to reopen their practices safely and swiftly. The goal is to make it more convenient and minimize expense for ASPS members to purchase these supplies by leveraging the Society's ability to secure favorable pricing through bulk orders and passing along these savings to members. However, the market for these products remains highly volatile, so pricing and availability are subject to change as new inventory is procured. The listed prices reflect the lowest available at the time of sale.
If the price of a product decreases in the future, ASPS will be unable to refund the difference. Returns cannot be accepted unless the product(s) are damaged, but order cancellations prior to shipment will be accepted. ASPS is working hard to source and fulfill these critical products, but may be limited by market fluctuation.
