Preventative Women's Healthcare: What is wellness? We assume we have it, yet we take it for granted until we are sick. Many people think of wellness as simply the absence of chronic disease. (if you aren't sick, you must be well!) It can take years and sometimes decades for diseases like diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and alzheimers to manifest in evident disease states Silent inflammation, hormone loss or imbalance, and metabolic syndrome can impact our unique risks for developing chronic disease. Our Advanced Practice Nurse has over twenty years of experience in women's healthcare and offers a unique evaluation. It is a program for women of all ages who may be experiencing problems with PMS, estrogen dominance, hormone loss or imbalance, chronic fatigue, perimenipause or menopause symptoms, difficulty sleeping, obesity, high cholesterol and triglycerides, and inablility to lose weight. It is a program for women who want to be affirmed, informed, and involved in their healthcare. It is a program for women looking for a practitioner who is willing to partner with them to develop an individualized approach to their health needs and goals, not just a quick-fix for symptoms.
