Breast Reduction Correction

Breast Reduction

Member Response:

Dear Carly1995, I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with your results. To go from a 34H to an A cup would be an extreme change in cup size for a breast reduction. At this point, you could consider implants or fat grafting to your breasts to increase the volume. Unfortunately, as these procedure are considered cosmetic, insurance will not cover them. Good luck, Nirmal R. Nathan, M.D. • Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery • Member, American Society of Plastic Surgeons

Breast Reduction at a Young Age

Breast Reduction

Member Response:

Dear Sierra, Thank you for your question. Based on what you are describing insurance should cover the surgery. Depending on your insurance plan you need to see a surgeon who takes your insurance and the consultation will be submitted to your plan for authorization. While you are on the younger range for a reduction, if you are experiencing constant severe pain surgery may be justified. Nipple reconstruction is performed at the same time and it is part of the breast reduction procedure. Hope this helps, Nirmal R. Am I too old?

Liposuction

Member Response:

Dear Florencemydream, 60 years young is far from old. Most 60 year olds are good surgical candidates but a health check should be performed. Your overall health, not your age is much more important in determining whether you are a surgical candidate. Best regards, Nirmal R. How Do I Get That Raised Eyebrow Effect?

Botulinum Toxin

Member Response:

Dear Melissa, Thank you for your question. Every Botox injection I do is customized for my patient's facial anatomy. A surgeon with a good understanding of facial anatomy should be able to give you raised eyebrows. Be careful injecting too much in your forehead if you already have heavy lids. Good luck, Nirmal R. Member Response:

Dear CuriousCat, Thank you for your question. When a breast reduction is performed a lift is also accomplished. You should not need a second surgery for a lift. Best regards, Nirmal R. Nathan, M.D. Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgeons

Mommy Makeover

Member Response:

It is my pleasure. Safety is always my utmost concern with every single one of my patients. The pricing for a tummy tuck can range from 5-8k in Miami and for a Mommy Makeover between 9-11k. If you call the office we would be happy to schedule a free virtual consultation. This will allow me to give you a more accurate quote.

HOw far can bulbous tip can be reduced

Rhinoplasty

Member Response:

Dear Germawi, Thank you for your question. Thick skin on the nose is a challenge for all rhinoplasty surgeons, because changes in the cartilage are less impactful than in patients with thinner skin. Determining how much your tip can be refined really requires an in person discussion and figuring out in detail what your goals and desired look are. Hope this helps, Nirmal R. Nathan, M.D. Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgeons Member, American Society of Plastic Surgeons

uneven breast

Breast Reduction

Member Response:

Dear Empress, Thank you for your question. The first issue that needs to be addressed is figuring out why one breast is so much larger than the other. If the tissue is benign then a breast reduction can be performed on the large side to match symmetry. If you want more volume or have some upper pole depletion an implant can be used. I usually like to try to keep my implants the same size and reduce breast tissue to achieve symmetry. Good luck, Nirmal R. Tummy Tuck

Member Response:

Dear Cathy, Thank you for your question. There are many excellent board certified plastic surgeons in the Delaware area. A physical exam and in person consultation is necessary to determine if you are a good candidate for surgery. I am based in Miami, FL and our city receives many patients from out of town for surgery. It does require staying in town after surgery to recover, but most people enjoy vacationing in South Florida. Best regards, Nirmal R. Surgery cost and payment

Mommy Makeover

Member Response:

Dear ashburnam, A Mommy Makeover is a term that usually refers to a breast augmentation/lift and tummy tuck performed at the same time. These procedures usually are not covered by insurance. Sometimes, if you need a breast reduction and not an impant/lift, that can be covered by insurance. If you decide to go out of the country remember you will have little no recourse if you sustain any surgical complications. Good luck, Nirmal R. Nathan, M.D. Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgeons

Facelift

Member Response:

Dear polly50, Thank you for your question. Temporary numbness and tightness can be associated with a normal facelift recovery, but your surgeon should be guiding you and counseling you as to what is normal and what is not. Good luck, Nirmal R. Nathan, M.D. Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgeons
