Program Manager I – Virtual Learning and Webinars

The Program Manager I – Virtual Learning and Webinars will be responsible for overseeing remote learning initiatives, including webinars, broadcasting, podcasts and on-demand educational programming. This includes project management for these programs, coordinating, scheduling and ensuring execution aligns with adult learning principles. Additionally, they will serve as a subject matter expert on webinar, broadcasting and podcasting techniques, providing guidance and support to colleagues involved in virtual educational programs. Experience with hosting and facilitating remote learning, such as webinars and broadcasts, is essential for this role.

What You Will Do

Work collaboratively with Education and Meeting leadership to plan and execute blended educational programming each year, including but not limited to Managed Organizations and other special programming.

  • Manage remote learning program initiatives, including webinars, podcasts and on-demand educational programming.
  • Coordinate and schedule virtual educational programs, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
  • Oversee the execution of webinars, broadcasts, podcasts and on-demand educational programming, ensuring high-quality content and engagement.
  • Ensure alignment of virtual learning programs with adult learning principles and best practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on webinar, broadcasting and podcasting techniques, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues involved in virtual educational programs, offering training and assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for enhancing virtual learning experiences.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of virtual learning programs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and tools related to virtual learning and incorporate them into program development as appropriate.
  • Assist in the development of the budget and strategy for virtual learning and webinars and general ASPS EdNet educational programming.
  • Serve as the producer of ASPS educational podcast programs, devising program schedules, soliciting and assisting faculty, developing show notes and overseeing promotional campaigns.
  • Facilitate editing, uploading and encoding video and audio content.
  • Oversee continuous improvement processes, including pre and post-quality checks with proper record review and compliance.
  • Staff ASPS EdNet Resource Center Booth at PSTM to demo capabilities, sell products/subscriptions and potentially facilitate podcasts.
  • Collaborate with Education Program Managers to identify new opportunities to provide delivery of blended learning solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally with the ASPS Marketing Department to devise a successful marketing strategy to meet fiscal year budgetary goals outlined for each product under their purview.
  • Proficiency in various software tools essential for the role, including Zoom, GoToWebinar, Microsoft Teams or Webex for virtual meetings and webinars, BuzzSprout and Zencastr, Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro and other video and audio editing tools for multimedia content creation, Articulate 360 and Rise for e-learning course development, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets) or Canva for document creation and design, familiarity with Learning Management Systems and Asana for project management.

What You Will Need

  • Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in education
  • Certifications: None required
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of five years of educational program experience with a focus on hosting/facilitating remote learning such as webinars, broadcasts and podcasts.
    • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and best practices in virtual and remote education.
    • Proven experience managing, hosting/facilitating remote learning initiatives, including webinars, broadcasts, podcasts and on-demand educational programming.
    • Excellent program and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
    • Content management system user experience.
    • Knowledge of the healthcare field is preferred.
    • Not-for-profit association experience preferred.
    • Ability to use content management systems and Web-related technologies; understanding of basic HTML and editing tools.
    • Ability to work remotely, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
