Your Consultation
Dr. Dana makes a point of being a great listener, and she is commited to giving her patients as much time as they feel is necessary to be informed about their procedure. We do not try to sell our patients on having procedures, and we are happy to assist them no matter where they are in their journey to deciding if plastic surgery is right for them. Our consultations are always free, though we do hold a credit card for a $50.00 no show fee.

I just went for my first ever Botox experience and was so happy with my results. Everyone was so great and helpful! I was so nervous and Katie talked me through every step and made me feel so comfortable. The office is extremely nice and the front desk girls are amazing! I will definitely be going back.
My visit to Dr. Goldberg's office was the first time I had ever walked into a plastic surgeon's office, period. I had always been skeptical about Botox or injections in general, but I heard it could help with "gummy smiles" and I was willing to take the plunge. Meeting with Katie to receive my first Botox injection was honestly nerve-wrecking, but she COULDN'T have been MORE knowledgeable and assuring and I knew I was in good hands. I was in and out of the office within 30 minutes and went on with my day with no swelling or bruising. Although it usually takes 5 days for results to transpire, I can already tell a huge difference just after 24 hours and I am more than pleased. It is possible to perform skin grafting if there is a significant amount of missing tissue. If its recent, injection of platelet rich plasma may soften scar tissue. I recommend an in person consult since this can be a complicated situation.
Insurance Coverage for Capsular Contracture/Breast Implant Illness

1. BII is not an officially recognized clinical diagnosis. 2. Medicare covers some of the cost of removal of implants with grade 4 (painful) capsular contracture as long as you use a physician and facility who are officially in the Medicare network. They do not cover insertion of implants unless related to a breast cancer diagnosis. 3. Saline implants still have a silicone shell, so if there are concerns about inflammation from an implanted device, complete removal makes much more sense than swapping for a saline implant.

If the silicone gel was completely contained in your capsule of scar tissue, there is not really a chance of it being left behind. In my opinion an MRI is an extra expense that you do not need. Discuss with your surgeon whether the gel was completely contained or not. He was physically in there and can give you the information. Also, if you have an MRI showing a little gel, are you going to go back to surgery to remove it? It's not medically necessary in most circumstances.

At this time, you need wound care. I recommend keeping the area clean with normal saline and keeping it covered with dressings. Mepilex Ag is a foam dressing (so it can absorb any drainage) that also is impregnated with silver (which is good to prevent infection). This kind of dressing can be changed every 2-3 days if there is not much drainage. If this heals on its own (called second intention), then there will be a wide scar with abnormally thin skin. If you try to surgically close it (called third intention), there may be a shape change, and sometimes there's enough tension that the wound re-occurs. So my recommendation is to let it close naturally and then consider a scar revision under local anesthesia about 6-12 months later.

This should improve over time, and if it doesn't disappear completely, there are other procedures to address the skin (a lateral brow lift, upper eyelid surgery, CO2 laser options). Your surgeon didn't do anything wrong.

Why does my face lack all definition in some lighting and distantants and not in others?

You are not commenting on your appearance, you are commenting on your appearance in a photo. You have now discovered why professional photographers, lighting, and photo editing exist. If you have surgery or do injectables to change your appearance in photos, you may end up not looking normal in real life. Tread carefully.

My experience with Dr. Goldberg was phenomenal. For years I felt like I was less of a woman because of my breast size. After my surgery I feel so thankful to have such a caring doctor to address all my needs. I actually traveled all the way from New York to get my surgery done without ever even meeting Dr. Goldberg face to face - people thought I was crazy, but it was by far the best decision.....

I had an absolutely amazing experience from the time of my initial consult until today. The staff, as well as the facilities, are second to none. Prior to the procedure I was sent a packet about how to prepare and what to expect during and after the procedure. Next, I had a consult with Dr. Goldberg to discuss exactly what was going to happen and to answer any questions that I had. On the day of the procedure, I felt as though I were at a spa rather than a doctors office. I was pleasantly surprised that there was essentially no pain associated with my follicular transplant procedure. The team doing the surgery was extremely receptive. I brought in a photo of myself from when I was younger to give them an idea of what I was looking for regarding my hairline. They went out of their way to give me a natural-looking hairline. The procedure (using a Neograft) took several hours; however, the time seemed to fly by (they even provided lunch). They also have a TV on the wall and I was able to watch Netflix to help pass the time. I am now six months post surgery and have to say that the results far exceeded my expectations. I could not be happier. People I work with cannot believe how much younger I look and how well it actually worked. I would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to the team at Dana Goldberg!
Dana is professional and a great Dr. She explained in detail what to expect from the procedure and the recovery time. I have sent multiple people to her and she has done amazing work. She is amazing and has created works of art with my GF and her breast augmentation. Highly recommend her!
