Patient Testimonials

love my lipo!!!! Wow!!! I lovelovelove!!! that Ideal lipo with Dr. Ver Halen! My first visit at Dr. Ver Halen's office was absolutely amazing. The customer service level is perfect, and the team members will welcome you with open arms. Dr. Vis a very nice man with an open-mind. One of the best things about Dr. Ver Halen is that he will give you the Lord's honest truth about your body, and what he CAN and CANNOT do for you. If you have concerns about your health before your surgery, he will get to the bottom of it. But the kindest woman in the world is Kristin, their patient coordinator! They made the procedure fit on my schedule, and on my budget on a payment plan. It is the best money I have ever spent, I swear. One of my favorite things about their office is that the team is the best. They are optimistic, smiling, and helpful 100% of the time. They are normal people that you can relate to. I am 100% satisfied with my surgery, and can't wait to show off my new body!
The Best Choice!!! -- No Vertical Scar Breast Lift From the very beginning, I knew Dr. V was the choice for me. I can't thank him and the team enough. I loved the website, and preferred it over all of the others that I saw. I had already heard about this Doctor from other people, and have recommended him to my friends. I made a call for a consultation, and I knew from the moment I finished the call that I made the right choice! Everyone in the office and Dr. V were incredible. They made me feel so comfortable in the decision that I was making. They are models of professionalism. They made a surgical plan that was “just for me”, showed me photos, listened to my concerns and took as much time as they needed to answer my questions. The surgery and recovery were smooth, and went just like they said it would. And the results are PERFECT! After the surgery, Dr. V called that night, and his office called the next day. I could not be happier with either the service, or my results. This is one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself… and my partner is happy too!!! I have totally regained my confidence. This is not about vanity, it is about feeling good in my own body. An excellent physician should get excellent reviews. Thank you Dr. Ver Halen!

Fat transfer

Breast Augmentation

Member Response:

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. In general, we do NOT use a drainage tube during fat transfer cases. As noted elsewhere, it is not necessary to drain the fluid, and the tube can be a tract for infection. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. Good luck!

Liposuction and transfer to the breast

Liposuction

Member Response:

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. In general, it is possible to only go up about 1 cup size with each round of fat transfer. I think that expecting to be able to replace the entire breast implant volume with fat, in one setting, is overly ambitious. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. I just want my confidence back

Breast Augmentation

Member Response:

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. I agree with most of the comments on this thread -- the decision to use an implant versus fat transfer really depends on the goals for your procedure, the size and shape of the breast you want (relative to your current breast), willingness to have an implant placed (versus fat), and cost. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. Hello and thank you for your excellent question. Yes, it is absolutely possible that your breast size could be contributing to your back pain. And no, EDS is not a contraindication for surgery. Lip/Fat Transfer and healthy BMI

Liposuction

Member Response:

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. Ideally, liposuction is used on patients who are at, or near their goal weight, in order to remove stubborn fat deposits or "sculpt" the figure. It is not intended for use as a weight loss tool, or for overweight patients who simply need to lose weight in general. Provided that you are not "underweight" and in need of weight gain, you very well could be a candidate for lipo. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Rupture removal

Breast Augmentation

Member Response:

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. Based on your description, it is probably best to remove both of your implants. Depending on your desires, options include replacing the implants, a breast lift to restore your breast shape, or simply removing the implants and doing nothing afterwards. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. Loose skin between breasts

Breast Augmentation

Member Response:

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. It is difficult to say specifically what the flap of tissue is, although it is possible that you have a small area of symmastia. This happens if implants are placed too closely together, or if you have redundant skin between your breasts that is accentuated after your implants are placed. I suggest that you seek a face to face consultation with your surgeon to discuss your concerns. Good luck!

Revision for lipo

Liposuction

Member Response:

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. It sounds as though you have a few choices. One is to modify your diet and exercise and lose the weight you have gained. The second is revision liposuction, as you have described. It is not necessary to have the fat re-injected to prevent it from coming back. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate you. Preoperative visualization with a surgical simulation program can help you make your decision. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. Good luck!

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. I am sorry to hear than your breast shape has changed for the worse. If you are planning on having the implants removed, then I suggest that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. The process could be as simple as removing the implants under local anesthesia, or could be more complicated. Hello and thank you for your question. Your situation is not unusual in patients who have had fat transfer to the buttocks, and then lose weight. In these instances, it is not unusual for patients to have a buttock implant placed. They are challenging, but not impossible. Good luck!

Dear Melanie, Hello and thank you for your question. Consultation costs really depend on your surgeon. Some surgeons do not charge a fee at all, while others charge up to $500. It is also somewhat influenced by where you live. This website has an excellent surgeon finder tool that will help you find a good match in your area. Good luck!

Breast Augmentation

Member Response:

Dear Kitty, Hello and thank you for your excellent question. The extent and cost of the surgery really depends on the level of difficulty. For simple implant removal without capsulectomy, this can be performed in the office under local anesthesia. If the implant is ruptured, or if the capsule needs to be removed, this must be performed in under general anesthesia. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable.
