Breast Reconstruction | Case Details

This patient is 33 years old and she weighs 118lbs. She is 5'6". The site of the cancer was the right breast. The type of cancer was ductal. The breast was reconstructed immediately after mastectomy. The preoperative bra size was 36A. An implant with an expander was used:

Initial volume:275 cc's
Final volume:375 cc's
Timing to placement of permanent implant: 9 months
Type of implant:McGhan, Round, Silicone, Style 153

The nipple/areola was reconstructed using the local flap and tattoo technique. The nipple/areola was reconstructed after breast creation. The patient was a size 36C/D postoperatively. These photos were taken 1 year postoperatively.
