Arthur W. Perry, MD

I've been practicing plastic surgery for over 30 years - my approach is not typical. I've seen "the next best thing in plastic surgery" come and go hundreds of times and I've developed a healthy skepticism for new procedures. That's not to say that I haven't evolved with the times - I use cutting edge technology that has been proven to work. My practice is dedicated to helping women regain their beauty - with a combination of skin care, office procedures and cosmetic surgery.

About

Meet Dr. Arthur Perry

Not a mill. Not a clinic. Just carefully thought out, carefully performed, cosmetic surgery. From an hour long intensive consultation to the removal of stitches, my patients receive attention to even the smallest details. It's this attention that minimizes complications and maximizes satisfaction.
I trained in surgery at Harvard, in burn care at Cornell, and in plastic surgery at the University of Chicago where I was chief resident in 1987. I then performed a cosmetic surgery fellowship in Miami before entering joining the teaching faculty of Rutgers medical school.  I'm now an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia and Rutgers, but I am very much in private practice.  I bring  my broad background and 6 conservative but cutting edge perspective to your individualized needs.
My approach to plastic surgery may be different from what many expect from typical surgeons.  The attitude at Harvard was that surgeons were internists that operate...not just technicians.  And that's how I run my practice.
As I evolved my practice, I have concentrated on women's beauty.  I specialize in facelifts, rhinoplasties, eyelid lifts, and barely a day goes by when I am not injecting wrinkle filler or Botox.  I have an artistic approach to these noninvasive procedures, and I'm sure you'll find my technique very different than what you're used to.  I want my patients to look natural....not like they have had a procedure.

Your Consultation

Bring your bag of cosmetics and your treatment records from other doctors to your consultation.  We'll spend an hour together and we will discuss skincare, office procedures, and surgery and find the level that you feel comfortable with. I'll examine you and take photographs - both with a standard camera and that new fangled Vectra 3-D camera.  Then we'll put your photos on the computer and alter them until you say..."that's it!".  We'll come up with a plan that can include skin care, minor procedures such as Botox, fillers, chemical peels, Ulthera, lasers, skin conditioning, and also surgical procedures like facelifts and eyelid lifts.  And yes, we will address the aging of your body as well as your face and nose - your chest, breasts, belly, arms, and hands also age, and there's solutions for those problems also.

Facilities

The Perry Plastic Surgery Center includes an ultramodern fully accredited operating room where I perform procedures under local anesthesia. More complex procedures are performed at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital or in a surgicenter in New Jersey.  And I am opening up the nation's most unique cosmetic surgery surgicenter in Tribeca, Manhattan, in June of 2022.

Is it safe to smoke 4 years after rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty

Member Response:

OK. It's been 4 years since you smoked? It's never ok to smoke. It's the worst thing you can do to your body and it deteriorates your appearance. So no. Don't smoke.
