Meet Dr. David Mattos
Dr. Mattos received a bachelor’s with high honors from Harvard College and went on to complete the dual MD/MBA with honors at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School. His continued success in medicine helped him match into the Harvard Combined Plastic Surgery Residency Program, where he served as Chief Resident at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. His fellow residents further elected him Chief Resident Representative and gave him the Resident Teacher of the Year Award.
Clinically, he seeks to provide individualized care and help his patients achieve balanced, natural results. He has an aesthetic interest in rhinoplasty, facial and eyelid surgery, abdominoplasty, breast surgery, and liposuction. He has significant reconstructive experience, including in implant and tissue-based breast cancer reconstruction, craniofacial trauma, migraine surgery, and Mohs reconstruction.
He is a native Spanish speaker.
Your Consultation
Your consultation with Dr. Mattos can be done virtually or in-person. After discussing your goals and concerns, he will share his expert opinion as to whether you are a good surgical candidate and what can be done to reach your goals. He will tailor his advice to your treatment needs. Our office staff and coordinators will provide you all of the information necessary to make an informed decision and guide you through the surgery process as seamlessly as possible. He normally provides his patients with his cell phone number so that he can be reached afterward easily.
Facilities
Dr. Mattos operates in Manhattan and Long Island for both aesthetic and reconstructive cases. For aesthetic cases, he will often do them in one of our private surgical centers. Reconstructive surgeries are typically done in one of the hospitals with which he is affiliated.
