Jerome H. Liu, MD, MSHS, is an ASPS Member plastic surgeon who is board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and trained specifically in plastic surgery. ASPS members operate only in accredited medical facilities, adhere to a strict code of ethics and fulfill continuing medical education requirements in plastic surgery, including training in patient safety techniques. Meet Dr. Jerome Liu
Dr. Jerome Liu is a board-certified plastic surgeon in San Jose and Sacramento. He is committed to offering exceptional, customized care to each of his patients. Through his extensive skill and training, Dr. Liu works with his patients to create highly personalized treatment plans, designed to address their unique needs and aesthetic concerns. At Liu Plastic Surgery, Dr. Liu offers a comprehensive array of cosmetic procedures like breast augmentation, liposuction, tummy tuck, facelift, and mommy makeover, as well as minimally-invasive or non-surgical treatments like Cellfina™, Viveve® Geneveve™ (non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation), BOTOX® Cosmetic, JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC, KYBELLA®, and more.
Dr. Liu has been recognized as an expert in his field, as he frequently serves as a consultant and advisory board member for various medical aesthetics companies, and has been featured on several news segments regarding plastic surgery. Dr. Liu has also shared his insight and knowledge with other medical professionals via the numerous peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and chapters he has authored and co-authored for respected medical journals.
While he was in high school, Dr. Liu was part of a small group of students who were selected by Brown University to receive guaranteed admission to medical school. Dr. Liu supplemented his Brown University education at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, ultimately graduating with one of the highest honors: acceptance into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. During his general and plastic surgery training at UCLA Medical Center, Dr. Liu was recognized with several teaching and research awards, and received the National Research Service Award—a grant awarded by a branch of the National Institutes of Health and Veterans Administration. This grant enabled Dr. Liu to achieve a master’s degree in health services research. After completing the UCLA Plastic Surgery Fellowship program, Dr. Liu served as an Assistant Instructor and Aesthetic Fellow at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center and Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute (DPSI).
Your Consultation
Patient education is extremely important to Dr. Jerome Liu. During a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Liu, he will ask about the patient’s individual concerns, as well as their aesthetic goals. Additionally, he provides detailed answers to any questions the patient may have. Dr. Liu will then conduct a thorough examination, enabling him to provide the patient with expert advice and information about the procedure(s) he believes are best for accomplishing the patient’s goals. These details can help the patient fully understand the treatment(s), as well as set expectations for what can realistically be achieved.

Beth is amazing at what she does, she makes you feel like you are good friends from the second you meet her. All my nerves about my procedure went out the window by the second consultation with Beth (I knew I was in good hands). Not once did she push a size or a product on me, she kept me informed and gave suggestions but really let me lead the appointment. One of my favorite aspects of the consultation process was that they take pictures with the different size samples. You can go home after the appointment and really look at what you want without the pressure of being in the office. Dr. Jerome Liu is super friendly and personable. He always made me feel very calm and confident in my decisions. He is super knowledgeable and you can really trust what he is saying. He even informed me to go up a few CC's to get the desired look I wanted. (SO GLAD I listened) The best part is that everyone told me how TERRIBLE recovery would be. I went into surgery woke up and was a little out of it but that is normal for most surgery. By the time I got home was just very calm. I did take it easy but I really had no serious pain with recovery it was extremely easy! (I understand it might not be like this for everyone) I used barely any of my pain medicine, extra strength Tylenol did the trick. Today I am two months out, Dr. Liu and his team have been there every step of the way. He makes you feel like you are a priority at every appointment. My results so far are awesome I honestly could not be happier. If you are looking for someone personable and exceptional at what they do Dr. Liu and his team is the place to go! I honestly can not say enough good things about this place. I really would check it out for any of your plastic surgery needs.
