Dr. Marissa Baca is a passionate Michigan native who was born and raised in, Clinton Township. She takes great pride in being able to serve the community that she grew up in. From the very beginning, she was a high achiever, having the distinguishing honor of serving as her high school’s class valedictorian the same year she was accepted into the MD Medical Scholars Program. She graduated from Michigan State University with the highest GPA of her graduating class, earning her the Michigan State University Trustees Award. After finishing her medical studies at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Dr. Baca spent six years of meticulous training in the field of plastic surgery at Spectrum Health, MSU Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Integrated Residency Program in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Following her time in Grand Rapids, she attended a one-year fellowship in hand and microsurgery at Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. After finishing her fellowship, she returned to Michigan to exercise her expertise and empathy at the Straith Clinic.

I scheduled another appointment for that Saturday and wanted to bring my husband along for support and any questions he may have had. She is very knowable. She graduated with honors and top of her class. This was a major plus for me, as well as her knowledge, HONESTY. She’s very informative and will tell you the best way for her to give you satisfactory results the safest way possible. She answered the toughest questions with no hesitation. I felt so comfortable when choosing Dr. Baca. I just knew I was making the right decision and I did. I booked my surgery and I had my tummy tuck February 18, 2021, If I texted her at 3 am she almost instantly texted me back. I was shocked! I felt extra comfortable, I then knew in my heart she was definitely meant for me. I look and feel fabulous. She did a phenomenal reconstruction of my body. I was already curvy but her enhancement made it simply amazing. I stay in the mirror and my husband stay in my face lol. I will always PICK DR. MARISSA BACA!!

Hello patient! I agree with the other surgeons, the tissue after a breast augmentation will change/relax/settle over the first 6-12 months after surgery. You want to wait until after that time period and then reassess. If you are still bothered by noticeable areas of the implant, fat grafting is an option. However, it is important to remember that every patient is different. So, make sure to consult with your surgeon about your specific situation.

Hello! As long as you are healing well from the appendectomy, without any infection, there should be no problem with undergoing breast augmentation in April. As always, check with your Plastic Surgeon (who will be doing the breast augmentation) and General Surgeon (who did the appendectomy) to make sure that they agree and there are no other issues with your specific case :)

1/26/2024: My experience at Straith Clinic has been the best experience. Dr. Baca is a fantastic surgeon who did exactly what I wanted. The staff is so friendly and so caring. Straith Clinic is the place to go for you cosmetic surgery needs and would highly recommend them to anyone.

2022: Dr Baca performed a tummy tuck for me a year ago, she was very kind and professional. Dr Baca is also very much a perfectionist and I really appreciated the details. She was quick to answer questions, and returned my call promptly after surgery when I had questions. The cost was up front, and there we no hidden extras.
