Meet Dr. Sarah Elswick
Dr. Elswick originally began studying aerospace engineering and landed a role at NASA. Though an incredible experience, she quickly learned that she wanted to dedicate her career and her life to working with and helping people. Medicine was a natural fit.
She realized her desire to pursue plastic surgery while working in the Plastic Surgery Department at The Ohio State University. There, Dr. Elswick saw the results of patients who had undergone breast reconstruction after mastectomy and knew she wanted to be part of restoring the lives and confidence of patients, not only when it comes to breast reconstruction, but on every area of the body regardless of patient age and gender.
With a focal point on aesthetics and aesthetic reconstruction, Dr. Elswick’s research has been centered on reconstruction after cancer surgery with special interests in prepectoral breast reconstruction and the effects of radiation in breast reconstruction. Likewise, she has presented multiple times on breast and body reconstruction.
Dr. Elswick has traveled the world, volunteering her time and services to people who need it most, noting that one of the most rewarding experiences in her career has been performing cleft lip and palate surgery on children in Guatemala.
Maintaining a hand on the pulse of the ever-evolving plastic surgery field, Dr. Elswick performs a variety of aesthetic and reconstructive surgical and nonsurgical treatments at Revitalize Plastic Surgery. She utilizes creativity and the latest technology and surgical techniques for every procedure she performs. And her focus on exceptional patient care, as well as patient education and safety are why her patients trust her with their medical concerns.
Dr. Elswick has operating privileges at William Beaumont Hospital, Troy and Royal Oak, Michigan as well as McLaren Macomb Hospital. Dr. Elswick is pleased to accept insurance. Your Consultation
Dr Elswick will make sure your questions are answered and your goals are understood. Patient expectations are important to discuss at the consultation. The surgical approach is tailored to each patient. A detailed history and physical examination will be performed to assess the right surgical option. Once the patient is determined to be a good candidate, a detailed discussion of surgical technique will be performed. Be sure to mention smoking, medications, medical history, and previous surgeries.Facilities
At the Columbia Surgical Center you will experience very individualized care from our fully licensed and highly trained staff. All our staff is Basic Life Support (BLS) trained. We speak with all of our Columbia Surgical Center patients pre-operatively to review their health history and ensure that any preoperative testing or health clearance is obtained if necessary. We also work closely together with our anesthesia team because our patient’s health and safety is the number one priority at the Columbia Surgical Center.
Our operating room is nationally accredited through the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). The Columbia Surgical Center is equipped with the latest technology in cosmetic surgery. We offer you a private and safe environment where you are the surgeon’s top priority. If you prefer to have your surgery at the hospital, Dr. Elswick has privileges at William Beaumont Hospital Troy and Royal Oak, Michigan as well as McLaren Macomb Hospital in Michigan.

Very knowledgeable about my concerns about my back skin rolls — that I couldn’t get rid of by diet and exercise. I lost 110 lbs 5 yrs ago, and I’ve had procedures to remove the excess skin in other areas. I have consulted several plastic surgeons and not found anyone but Dr Elswick that I felt as comfortable with to perform my upper back lift. I’m post op, day 4 from my back lift ( bra lift), and, thought swollen— I’m pleased with how I’m healing— pain is minimal, not requiring more than plain Tylenol Dr Elswick and I, did our due diligence to make sure I was as optimized for the procedure. Suggestion and use of PICO primary healing negative pressure dressing to enhance optimal scarring. She’s very mindful, easy to talk to and I would highly recommend and utilize her talents and skills for any future surgical or aesthetic needs.
