Kent V. Hasen, M.D. is a board certified plastic surgeon who has trained at some of the nation’s top medical institutions, including Cornell and Northwestern University. Dr. Hasen has been named one of America’s Top Doctors by Castle Connolly year after year. Dr. Hasen was appointed Section Chief of Plastic Surgery for the Naples Community Healthcare system in 2018. Kent V. Hasen, M.D. performs cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body in his fully accredited private operating room suite for your privacy and safety. Dr. Hasen was the first in Southwest Florida to offer his patients CoolSculpting and SculpSure for non-surgical fat reduction; NeoGraft hair restoration without visible scars; Cynosure minimally invasive laser neck lift and body sculpting; and Cellfina minimally invasive cellulite reduction. Your Consultation
Your personal consultation with Dr. Hasen is in a comfortable private setting. Together you will discuss your specific goals and concerns and he will provide you with thorough honest answers. Dr. Hasen believes that an essential key to success is excellent communication between the patient and the surgeon. During your consultation, we go to great lengths to assure that you have a thorough understanding of your surgical options and their associated risks and benefits. We will review case studies and photographs. We encourage you to ask questions. If you desire, we will arrange for you to speak with previous patients who have had the same procedure. We want to assure that you are completely comfortable with your decisions. To save time before your initial consultation, please download our registration forms from our website at www.DrHasen.com and fill them out. You should plan to spend about 1 ½ hours with us. For your optimum comfort and safety, all operative procedures are performed in our fully accredited, private in office surgical suite. The anesthesia is overseen by Board-Certified Nurse Anesthesists who specialize in Plastic Surgery Anesthesia. Generally, patients return home the same day their procedure, but for more extensive procedures, patients may stay overnight in our post-surgical recovery suite with RN supervision. Dr. Hasen is available to his patients by cell phone at all times. You will return to the office for several post-operative visits so we can evaluate your progress closely and answer any questions you have along the way. This helps assure that you have a smooth and uneventful recovery.

Body contouring procedures like a tummy tuck and arm lift are commonly done together as long as the planned surgery would not be too long. So if it was a typical tummy tuck and arm lift, the time under anesthesia would not be too long and they should be able to be done together. It is best to consult with a ASPS board certified Plastic surgeon who does a lot of body contouring surgery to find out if you are in fact a good candidate for these procedures.

Again, I agree with the previous plastic surgeon's assessment that elective surgery should not extend too long in one setting. The procedures you mention may or may not take too long to perform in a single setting based on the complexity of each procedure as Dr. Kusuma points out. I think your best bet is to make an appointment for a consultation with a ASPS plastic surgeon to go over your desires and allow the surgeon to discuss with you the options for treatment and timing.

I would just like to take a quick moment and express my gratitude for the procedure you performed on my daughter, Megan Christopher, last week. And, I was quite worried about the recovery period, especially with the press of late given to the less than professional practitioners that we read about in the tabloids.
