Meet Dr. James Economides
James M. Economides, MD, is an award-winning Board Certified plastic surgeon and cosmetic surgeon at Advanced Plastic Surgery Center in Arlington, Virginia, known for providing consistent and natural results for his patients. He specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast, and body, offering breast augmentation, reduction, and reconstruction procedures, tummy tucks, mommy makeovers, liposuction, body contouring following weight loss surgery, and male plastic surgery. In addition to surgery, Dr. Economides is skilled in nonsurgical cosmetic procedures such as Botox®️ and dermal filler injections.
A lifelong resident of the Washington, D.C., area, Dr. Economides earned his bachelor’s degree with honors from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He then completed medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine and the fully integrated plastic surgery residency program at Georgetown University Hospital. During this time he gained additional experience in the field of microsurgery and free flap reconstruction at the world-renowned Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan and hand surgery at the Curtis National Hand Center in Baltimore, MD.
Dr. Economides is an active innovator in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery and he regularly shares his knowledge presenting at national and international conferences, reviewing scholarly articles for plastic surgery publications, and writing dozens of scholarly articles and textbook chapters in the field of plastic surgery.
When he’s not helping patients look and feel their best, Dr. Economides enjoys spending time with his family and friends, the outdoors, and traveling.
