Meet Dr. Lina Triana
I am a medical doctor and plastic surgeon, trained at Universidad del Valle, where I also completed my specialization in Plastic, Reconstructive, Maxillofacial, and Hand Surgery. From the beginning of my career, I felt a genuine interest in understanding the balance between the body, mind, and overall well-being.
This interest led me to continue my education in Age Management Medicine at the Cenegenics Medical Institute in Nevada. I later pursued advanced training in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at Interplastica and at the Instituto Ivo Pitanguy in Rio de Janeiro. I also earned a Doctorate in Aesthetic Medicine from the Universidad de Bolívar.
During my clinical practice, I came to understand something essential: many women needed to regain leadership over their bodies and their sexuality. This realization led me to deepen my expertise in female intimate plastic surgery and to complete training at the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of America in Los Angeles.
Since then, part of my work has focused on helping people reconnect with their bodies—not to transform them into something different, but to feel comfortable, confident, and free in their own skin.
Today, I lead the Dra. Lina Triana Organization, Clínica Corpus and Rostrum, and Crece Hair Center—spaces that reflect my commitment to safe, ethical medicine centered on comprehensive well-being.
I have had the honor of serving on national and international boards for 18 years, including serving as President of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) from 2022 to 2024. I was also the first woman to serve as President of the Asociación Colombiana de Sociedades Científicas and the Sociedad Colombiana de Cirugía Plástica Estética y Reconstructiva.
I am an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the
American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and the Federación
Ibero Latinoamericana de Cirugía Plástica (FILACP). I am also an honorary
member of the Serbian Society of Plastic Surgery.
Throughout my career, I have served as an international editor for scientific journals and have participated on academic committees for more than 50 international conferences.
However, beyond positions and titles, my motivation remains the same: to support transformation processes with respect, trust, and authenticity. I deeply believe that plastic surgery is not an end in itself, but a means to help people live in their bodies with greater awareness and freedom.

Why do I need to stay in the Dominican Republic 2 to 3 weeks after a vaginoplasty? I cant do that.

Waiting for 2 days prior to your surgery are recommended for patient safety reasons, it is advised to wait after traveling long, before having the procedure done, to reduce blot clot risks during the procedure. Recovery time after the procedure is always adviced when you are abroad to have a good postop follow up, but after surgery, recovery time abroad can vary according to your own recovery process and what is discuss with your surgeon during this recovery period.

Hi Ari, I see from your question that you are planning on having a vagina tightening /vaginplasty surgery done abroad When planning an vaginoplastia abroad you certainly need to prepare ahead of time by having presurgical tests such as a vaginal smear / vaginal cytology before traveling to make sure you vagina is healthy. Also if your travel will take more than 3 hrs you should plan to arrive at least 2 days prior to your surgery and stay for at least 15 days after, preferably 3 weeks. I am Lina Triana, plastic surgeon from Cali, Colombia, South America and can certainly help you if you wish to come to my Country to have the procedure done.
