Meet Dr. Matthew Freeman
Matthew D. Freeman, M.D., is a board-certified plastic surgeon at The Center for Cosmetic Surgery, practicing at locations in Denver and Golden, CO. He completed his undergraduate degree in neuroscience and behavioral biology at Emory University, graduating with the highest departmental honors and earning membership in both Phi Beta Kappa and Nu Rho Psi. He went on to earn his medical degree in the top 5 of his class at Tulane University School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and received the C. Thorpe Ray Internal Medicine Excellence Award. Dr. Freeman then completed a highly competitive 6-year integrated plastic surgery residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, training under internationally recognized surgeons across five hospital locations including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He followed his residency with a cosmetic surgery fellowship in Austin, Texas, under Dr. Jennifer Walden, former president of The Aesthetic Society.
Dr. Freeman practices a full range of facial, breast, and body procedures at his Denver and Golden, CO locations, with a particular focus on drain-free tummy tuck, mommy makeover, breast implant removal and revision, labiaplasty, and blepharoplasty. His research contributions span breast reconstruction, surgical training, and innovations in medical education, and he has presented his work at prominent conferences across the specialty. Known for his collaborative approach to patient care, Dr. Freeman views the patient relationship as a partnership — taking time in consultations to listen, provide honest guidance, and support each patient in making informed decisions that reflect their individual goals.
