Esteemed plastic surgeon, Dr. Samir Rao, is a proud member of ASPS who is skilled in all areas of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.  Dr. Rao is committed to adhering to ASPS guidelines, as well as providing each of his patients with the best possible experience and outcome.

Dr. Rao attended medical school at the George Washington University School of Medicine and graduated with Distinction in addition to being inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He then went on to complete an elite 6-year training program at the Georgetown University Hospital Plastic Surgery Residency Program. During this time, he also trained in microsurgery at The Curtis National Hand Center Microsurgical Training Program.

Dr. Rao has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and has presented at annual meetings for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Association of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery; just to name a few.  He also serves as a peer reviewer for the journal Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. In addition to serving patients in the greater Washington area, he is also committed to giving back to the local community through his passion for plastic and reconstructive surgery. Some of the organizations he has worked with are the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington and Fairfax County’s Skindeep Tattoo Removal program.

At CPS, his special interests include facial cosmetic surgery, breast, and body contouring surgery, both autologous and prosthetic breast reconstruction surgery and revision breast surgery. Dr. Rao's patients enjoy natural looking results from facelift, liposuction and tummy tuck to breast augmentation and breast reconstruction - just to name a few procedures.  By his patients, Dr. Rao is best known for his professionalism and consideration for his patient’s concerns and expectations.
