Dr. Hector Salazar-Reyes is a board-certified plastic surgeon at La Jolla Cosmetic Surgery Centre in San Diego, California. With over 17 years of extensive training in the U.S. and abroad, he is dedicated to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care. Dr. Salazar's patient-centered philosophy emphasizes delivering beautiful results safely and ensuring each patient feels well cared for throughout their journey. Dr. Salazar's passion for plastic surgery began in his teenage years, inspired by the transformative impact of reconstructive procedures. He earned his medical degree from the University of Baja California in Mexico, graduating summa cum laude and receiving national recognition as "Medical Student of the Year" by EXP Magazine. His postgraduate training includes a general surgery internship at the University of Illinois Metropolitan Group of Hospitals and a plastic surgery residency at Houston Methodist Hospital, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Salazar is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the Board of Plastic Surgery of Mexico, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian, he offers consultations in all three languages, ensuring clear communication with a diverse patient population.
