How much pain can you expect after a breast augmentation surgery?

Breast Augmentation

Member Response:

Hello QuebecViv, Thank you for your question. You can expect to have some degree of pain after breast augmentation surgery. In general, the average number of days that you may reasonably expect to be in pain is several days after breast augmentation. Some women do well on extra-strength ibuprofen after the procedure, while others may need something stronger. During your consultation with your plastic surgery be sure to bring up your concerns about taking opiods after surgery. Please remember to seek a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon who is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Best wishes moving forward! Josef Hadeed, MD, FACS
