He’s very focused and intentional, and once I warmed up to this I appreciated him even more. I wanted a lower facelift to correct my jowls, he recommended MyElevate and chin lipo instead. He’s very thorough with explaining the procedure, I booked that same day! I really appreciated his direct honesty, there’s no room for misinterpretation and I welcomed that. Great Results for Tummy Tuck! 4 May 2019 After having kids, I had muscle separation and loose skin. No amount of working out was going to make it go away so I decided to have a tummy tuck. I went to a few doctors before I decided on Dr. Lowen. He was meticulous and detailed. He was the most expensive one but I felt that he was the right doctor. It's been a few years since my tummy tuck and the result is great! The scar is very thin and light. He did a great job!

I had a pretty big lipoma on my back for about six years. Dr. Lowen is the only one I found who uses a technic for lipoma removal that leaves a tiny scar. That was crucial for me because I have a tendency to hypertrophic scarring. Before the procedure, Dr. Lowen patiently answered all my questions and prepared me thoroughly for what to expect and what would be done. The procedure itself took about 30 minutes, and it was absolutely pain-free. I wanted to know all the details about what was going on, so Dr. Lowen even took a video of the procedure and showed it to me after it was done! Recovery was fast and very simple, Dr. Lowen gave me a prescription for pain killers, but I never used it. The incision healed very well! It's been almost a month already, a neat scar left, it doesn't bother me at all, and I'm absolutely happy with how well it looks (just like a cat scratch).

I had my implants placed by Dr. Lowen 4 years ago and after second baby my breast sagged and was heavy set. It really prevented me from being active and my breast were too big for my petite size. I couldn't wait to remove them. So 8 months post pregnancy I decided to contact Dr. Lowen and schedule a removal and lift. ORIGINAL POST Complete Transformation! myirsia May 28, 2024 WORTH IT I first met with Dr. Lowen in October ‘23 for consultation for an abdominoplasty. I had lost 80 pounds and had a significant amount of extra skin. I also still had a not slight amount of subcutaneous fat as well. After consultation, Dr. Lowen felt like the best fit for me, so I scheduled a drainless tummy tuck procedure with him for January ’24. Dr. Lowen performed the drainless tummy tuck in January that absolutely transformed my body. His work is meticulous and his attention post-op is nothing short of wonderful. I was unfortunate in that I developed a post op infection three weeks after surgery. I want to iterate that this infection had nothing to do with Dr. Lowen and his work, but everything to due with my home (specifically my two cats who want to crawl all over me all the time). Dr. Lowen was so great with checking in with me daily until the infection had cleared. I was so happy that Dr. Lowen took time to check on me so often and provide reassurance when needed to help me throughout the healing process. Four months post op, Dr. Lowen did a revision for me to remove a dog ear on either side, smooth out both hips and remove a bit more of the subcutaneous fat from the abdomen and sides. I am almost three weeks post op from that procedure and I am in constant awe of my new appearance. I wear clothes now that I never would have worn before. Even with the (seemingly minimal) current post op swelling and extra padding (lipo foam and binder), I feel more comfortable and confident in clothes and my own skin than I have for the majority of my adult life. I have Dr. Lowen to thank for that!

Really beautiful results that I know will just get better and better!! Please make a consult with Dr. Lowen, he is trained to do many many procedures, and you will love the fact that he is a perfectionist. You beyond get what you pay for with him!!

My first implants (done by another doctor) were... 5 Oct 2011 My first implants (done by another doctor) were too big (390 filled to 420 cc's), felt too heavy and made me extremely uncomfortable. My breasts feel more natural, lighter and I am so much more comfortable. I am so glad I did it. I had surgery on Friday and was back at work on Wednesday. My recovery time was a little longer than the first time because he had to close the pockets. But if he hadn't I would have been perfectly fine the very next day. Unbelievable!

I've been dreaming of a Rhinoplasty to get rid of the bump on my nose for years. But, I was also terrified. What if I finally went for it, but the outcome wasn't good? My nose was previously broken , the left side was more jagged under the skin, but that didn't cause the dorsal hump. I'll let the picture speak for itself. I literally, couldn't be happier with the outcome, and it's still healing!! A quick note before I end the review. I expected to wake up feeling like I had been kicked in the face with horrible pain. It was actually quite opposite. They asked for a pain level in the recovery room, I remember saying 2. The bruises and swelling have been more of a nuisance than the pain. Tender to the touch but not painful for recovery. My breast aug was a much more painful recovery.

With Dr Lowen You Know You Are in Good Hands! 20 Feb 2019 Dr Lowen was very professional and helpful. I trusted him right from the beginning. I had a CO2 laser done one my face, neck and decolete and I am extremely happy with the results. I am even going to do another procedure (fat transfer).

Amazing Tummy Tuck 22 Dec 2018 Dr. Lowen is amazing. My tummy tuck came out perfect. I was excited and nervous and he explained every detail on what he was going to do and what to expect. He is the best at what he does in my opinion. After my surgery he called to check on me often. I was able to text and call him anytime. He was available anytime I called. I never had to wait long periods of time for him to call me. This is important after a major surgery. So many concerns and questions arise after surgery. My visits to his office are pleasant. His staff is amazing. They are all very friendly. I visit his office often to have other treatments done by Alice. This includes Botox, fillers, laser treatments, and fillers. So glad I chose Dr Lowen for my tummy tuck. It was worth every penny!

After searching for about half a year, I couldn't... 15 Dec 2015 14 days post After searching for about half a year, I couldn't have chosen a better doctor for my procedure (re-augmentation of saline breast implants, abdominoplasty, and lipo of weist and flanks). The results looked amazing just a couple of days in. I expected a lot more bruising and pain. My cousin, whom helped my husband and I during my initial recovery, was surprised of how well I looked just 2 days in. She took care of a friend and her experience was the complete opposite. My cousin's friend is know saving for an other tummy tuck, to fix it. I am now 2 weeks in, and I love it. I still am taking pain medication, mostly from the lipo, my tummy has mostly only felt tight. My breast, with the new Ideal implants feel amazing and look wonderful, they are just slightly sore. I am completely pleased with my results. I would recommend Dr. Lowen, over and over again, and if I needed to, I would go to him again. I had a nice experience with his staff, they were warning and attentive. Thank you Dr. Lowen and staff.

Tummy tuck with muscle repair and lipo. 26 Feb 2019 8 months post My review is long overdue, but I wanted to wait a few months until after my procedure to see if I was satisfied with the results. I had a tummy tuck with muscle repair along with lipo in June of 2018. I was referred to Dr Lowen by a colleague, and I initially connected with the practice in Dec 2017. I met with the patient coordinator, Ashely, as well as Dr. Lowen. At that time, both were very thorough and we discussed my options and was I provided a quote. Unfortunately, life got in the way, things got pushed back and I wasn’t able to schedule my procedure. When we reconnected in early June 2018 (I was 11mo post partum), they were very happy to connect again and discuss my circumstances/options at length. They were both very generous with their time and knowledge. Somehow, the stars aligned and I was able to have my surgery scheduled a few weeks later (end of June). To back up a little bit, I think it’s very important to note just how patient, thoughtful, and thorough Dr Lowen and his staff were before my procedure. I sent numerous emails with questions (often repetitive) and Ashley was very prompt in responding and addressing my concerns and referring to Dr L as needed. They were very kind and reassuring throughout the entire process. Prior to my procedure, I had a lot of excess skin resulting from my pregnancy. I was just tired of being so unsatisfied with my body. My weak core also contributed to pretty significant back pain for me. When discussing expectations/goals, I asked A LOT of questions to ensure that I was aligned with the doctor. He was always VERY CLEAR, VERY DIRECT, and VERY THOROUGH in his explanation. I also feel like he didn’t talk over my head, using a bunch of medical jargon. He explained things in a very direct manner, outlining what was reasonable/realistic vs unrealistic. I quickly learned that Dr Lowen is very very very particular about his craft and meticulous about his method. That was also very comforting for me. I recognized that I wasn’t dealing with a novice, but rather a seasoned and professional plastic surgeon who had mastered his craft. I know a few people have mentioned that he doesn’t give you the warm and fuzzies, but I wasn’t looking for that anyway. I wanted someone who was honest and was able to deliver, and deliver he did! The night before my surgery, Dr Lowen called me personally to check in. I thought that was a very nice touch, as I was a nervous wreck. The day of my procedure, I met him at the surgery center and he did his measurements and marked my body. After that, everything was a blur and about 8-9hrs later, I woke up. He was there waiting for me to come to and determine if my pain was manageable or if I needed additional care. I was released that evening and went home. My recovery from my tummy tuck was pretty much terrifying for me, but any question or concern I had, I was able to call Dr Lowen’s cell phone at any time (which I certainly did). He was always responsive and helpful. The pain from the tummy tuck wasn’t as horrific, as I believe he had used a long acting anesthetic. I went back to see him 2-3 days po. He came in and took a look and seemed as though he didn’t have any concerns in the world. He was that confident in his work and in the process. I should’ve known that I had nothing to worry about. My procedure was flawless and his technique allowed me to have a drainless tummy tuck. Over the next several months, I continued to email and call with any and every question that came up. If something looked a little funny, I would take a picture and send it to him, only to have my fears put at ease by him or his staff. At about 6mo po, I went back in for some additional lipo and a dog ear that had formed. He completed both procures in office and it was FAR LESS extensive or painful. I walked out on my own after the procedure. Since my tt, I have a much stronger core, which has helped tremendously with my chronic low back pain. I would say it’s pretty much gone. I have gone down several pant/dress/shirt sizes since the procedure. I feel much more confident and have more energy and mobility to play with my baby. For me, not only was the level of skill/experience of my PS important, but also the after care I would receive from him AND his staff. I’m very happy to report that they have delivered on all fronts. I’m definitely going to continue to see Dr Lowen for any additional work I may want done and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good experience with outstanding results!

Dr Lowen is fantastic! I had always wanted bigger... 18 Jan 2015 5 months post Dr Lowen is fantastic! I had always wanted bigger boobs and after the breastfeeding 2 babies the ‘girls’ were sadly deflated. I have been researching breast augmentation for years and when I read some of Dr Lowen’s professional responses on www.realself.com I booked an appointment for a consultation. When I first met with him, he was warm, professional and answered all my questions in as much detail as I wanted. He didn’t try to convince me to go a particular size and he helped me gain a realistic understanding of what my results would be. When I found out that he used to be a hand surgeon before moving into plastic surgery I knew he would have the expertise, experience and attention to detail to be the right doctor for me. He uses a 3D simulation program, Crisalix to give you an idea of what your final result might look like to help you figure out what size to choose. My results looked exactly like the 3D simulation! He explained the entire pre-op and post-op procedure to me. His surgery staff are wonderful and all met with me prior to surgery so I felt like I was in the best hands. His office staff are professional, organized and supportive. My surgery was drain-less and I was pain free and back to doing most normal activities in less than a week. My boobs are fabulous! He delivered exactly what I asked for. They look like very natural, feel great and I’m more confident in myself. If you’re considering plastic surgery you owe it to yourself to meet Dr Lowen!

I have Kaiser insurance which will charge me over $12,000 under general anesthesia with a big cut at the back of my neck. I am so happy that I found Dr. Lowen which can get in done just under local anesthesia, a very small cut and the best things are it’s affordable compared to Kaiser and I don’t have to go under. I am using a scar cream twice a day which I purchased in Dr. Lowen’s Office. Recovery was super easy, I was able to shower the same day of surgery. My daily activities continue just like nothing happened. I only took one pain killer on the surgery day after I got home and I was fine after that. Thank you, Dr. Lowen!

10/10 everytime 3 Dec 2018 Dr. Lowan’s office has honestly changed my life - I know that sounds dramatic but hear me out. I was previously seeing Alice for preventative botox in my forehead, which was always a 10/10 experience when I casually mentioned a skin issue I was having and just how embarrassing it was. Over the course of about a year a few small ingrown hairs on my bikini line had turned into a terrifying site for the eyes. HUGE cysts were forming from these ingrown, they were multiplying by the month, when they would finally burst they were leaving large scars and I was mortified. I couldn’t wear any of my bikinis on vacation, I was embarrassed to change in the gym locker room and my confidence in a whole took a major toll. I tried switching from shaving to waxing, exfoliating like a mad woman, all creams and scrubs on the market and it only seemed to get worse. Alice suggested I think about laser hair removal - I didn’t hesitate one minute and I can’t thank her enough for that suggestion. I’ve had 4 sessions so far and you would never know I ever had such an issue on my bikini line. Of course, the laser itself is not an enjoyable feeling and stings quite a bit but Alice walked me through it, took her time in-between each zap to make it less intense and after each session, I felt 0 discomfort, swelling or even redness. I can’t give this office enough praise - from the minute you walk in to warm and friendly front desk staff to days after each treatment receiving follow-ups, the whole experience is top notch.

ORIGINAL POST Incredibly Happy - Worth Flying out to Do Surgery with Dr.Lowen runnermom357 February 29, 2024 WORTH IT I live in Colorado, but flew out to California for 3 weeks (1 week pre-surgery, 2 weeks post) in order to do this tummy tuck procedure with Dr.Lowen. There are a good number of qualified doctors in my area and being away from my 3 kids was tough, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime surgery and I didn't want to compromise on quality. Dr.Lowen is simply the best. It's now 2 weeks post-surgery and I'm absolutely thrilled with my result. The incision is neatly done and super low on my belly, with no infections or other issues. The bruising is almost gone, the swelling is minimal, and my mid-section is looking sleek. Also, importantly, the belly button is very realistic-looking and perfectly placed. (This is one of the reasons I ultimately chose Dr.Lowen - I didn't want there to be any risk of symmetry issues, bad scarring, or other issues that might require a revision surgery.) The recovery has been excellent. After 2 weeks, I feel almost fully back to normal. I'm able to go on long walks, can sleep 8 hours at night, have been taking Ubers and doing in-person work meetings for the past few days, and am completely off of medication. If you're thinking about doing the surgery, I say go for it! ---Even more details about my story---- I'm small (5'2", 115 lbs) and had 3 large babies in the past decade which stretched out my core. Despite being an active runner and doing strength training, my midsection never went back to "normal." When I'd do a plank, there was always a bulge in the middle, and I had this annoying pocket of fat on the lower part of my abdomen that just wouldn't go away even though the rest of my body was lean and muscled. I thought that this was just something I'd have to live with for the rest of my life, and had accepted that this is just what happens when you have kids and get older. Then a friend of mine who'd also had 3 kids told me about her surgery with Dr.Lowen. She'd had a full tummy tuck and was absolutely delighted with the results. She was running marathons again and loved the flatness of her abs. This opened up my world - if she could do it, maybe so could I. From the first time I reached out to Dr.Lowen, he made me feel cared for. He spent an hour with me in our first consultation and later checked in as my surgery date approached. I appreciated that he seemed to know every single detail, and made me feel comfortable and respected. He was never annoyed or impatient, no matter what I asked. I'm a perfectionist, and I wanted a doctor that was equally a perfectionist: someone who takes pride in their work and wants to ensure both the surgery and recovery go smoothly. Dr.Lowen delivered in every way. How the surgery went: Dr.Lowen's surgical team were all professionals that made me feel safe and ensured I was comfortable. The surgery itself happened in the blink of an eye. Honestly, even though this was "the big day", I was out for most of it and when I awoke, the local anesthetic they used helped me feel ok and not in immediate pain. My brother and sister-in-law picked me up and took me home, and the recovery started. How the recovery went: The first few days of recovery were the hardest because the bruising and swelling--while natural--is not something I'd ever experienced before. Dr.Lowen told me what to expect before the surgery, and afterwards he was also quick to respond to my text messages and also willing to Facetime with me frequently. We did either a virtual or in-person check-in almost every day for the first week. Dr.Lowen even went one step further and did a couple of laser treatments on my bruised areas and gave me Arnica tablets to take, to help speed up the recovery. Dr.Lowen provided me with pre and post-op instructions which were detailed and answered most questions. Here's a bit of extra advice for those of you about to do this: (1) It's not necessary, but I found a walker very useful for the first 3 days when I would walk around particularly hunched over. It helped ease the pressure on my back. Dr.Lowen loaned me one so I didn't even need to buy it. (2) Be sure you're drinking enough, and also consider taking a stool softener and laxative on day 2 after the surgery. I don't typically get constipation, but it's a common side effect of the painkillers you'll almost surely take post-surgery. (3) Buy Arnica tablets to help with the bruising - Dr.Lowen can recommend some. These things are magical. (4) Shower the day before the surgery (you can't shower the morning of, and you also can't shower for the first few days after). (5) Buy super loose pants with a high waistband (I'm normally a size XS/S and I bought size L yoga pants). You can't wear restrictive clothes for a while after the surgery because it can cut off blood flow, and since you'll be wearing padding and a "binder" (compression wrap) around your waist, your normal pants won't fit. Personally, I love the BeyondYoga for how soft the fabric is - you don't want anything even remotely scratchy. (6) Be sure you have somebody to help you. In the first few days, I couldn't do something basic like lifting a heavy pot of soup out of the fridge and was reliant on others to carry things for me. I could do baby walks around the room and go to the bathroom, but I appreciated help with everything else. After the first week, I was generally self-sufficient at home and even meeting people outside. After 2 weeks, I could take 30 minute walks and do full days of "normal" work. Pre and 2 weeks post surgery (there's some black tape under my belly button that got cleaned up later) pre and 2 weeks post surgery, some lipo done on love handles
