The American Society of Plastic Surgeons Hosts its 87th Annual Scientific Meeting in Chicago

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL – More than 3,000 plastic surgeons, trainees and other allied professionals will convene in Chicago Sept. 28 – Oct. 1 for Plastic Surgery The Meeting 2018 – the premier educational and networking event in plastic surgery. This year's meeting features more than 250 educational offerings to help aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeons expand their knowledge and grow in their surgical practice. From continuing medical education and cutting-edge research to hot-topic panel discussions and hands-on cadaver lab programming, attendees can create a custom-tailored learning experience to suit their professional goals and individual needs.

"We incorporated educational programming, social events, lectures with renowned speakers and family activities to give attendees an unforgettable and valuable experience," said Jeffrey Janis, MD, president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. "No other meeting better equips plastic surgeons with new knowledge, surgical techniques and strategies they can apply to their practice when they return home."

The Meeting is exclusively designed for plastic surgeons, residents and allied health professionals interested in expanding their knowledge to improve patient care, safety and outcomes. Attendees have access to eight educational tracks presented by the best and brightest in the specialty, including aesthetic, practice management, research and technology, breast, reconstructive, craniomaxillofacial/head and neck, hand and upper extremity. Plastic Surgery The Meeting will also launch its first two-day Spanish educational program, as well as new practice management courses to help plastic surgeons manage their operations and attain continued success outside of the operating room.

Plastic Surgery The Meeting has provided generations of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeons the continuing medical education and latest cutting-edge research to grow all aspects of their surgical careers and practices. All sessions, labs and courses help identify current and emerging issues and medical advances in plastic surgery that impact the diagnosis and delivery of treatment for a wide range of patients – and help assess the potential applications of new techniques, medical devices and pharmaceuticals into clinical practice.
