The goal of chest feminization surgery is to give a more feminine contour and appearance to the chest using breast implants and possibly fat transfer.
What words should I know about chest feminization surgery?
Areola
Pigmented skin surrounding the nipple.
Capsular contracture
The development of scar tissue around the breast implant may distort the shape of the breast.
General anesthesia
Drugs and/or gases used during an operation to relieve pain and alter consciousness.
Hematoma
Blood pooling beneath the skin.
Implant
A medical device containing either saline or silicone, which is used to augment the size of the breast.
Intravenous sedation
Sedatives administered by injection into a vein to help you relax.
Local anesthesia
A drug injected directly into the site of an incision during an operation to relieve pain.
