Patient Testimonials

Karla Horn - Very pleased with my new nose! I would definitely recommend dr Kulick to anyone interested in plastic surgery.
Stephanie Hui - I went in to see Dr. Kulick for a finger fractured, which he assessed very efficiently and quickly! He made the process very straight forward for me. I mean, who wants to stay at any doctors longer than they have to? Am I right? In addition, he addressed a completely separate issue I had and for that, I am forever thankful. I am finished with all my visits, but Dr. Kulick assured me that he is always available if any further issues arise. I will definitely choose to go to him if I ever have any other problems!
Judy Rowcliffe - Over 20 years, Dr. Kulick has performed five surgeries on my hands, healing keyboard-related damage. He has pursued all treatments possible before recommending surgery. He thoroughly explained each procedure, making sure I understood what he was doing. He persuaded one insurance company about the necessity for a surgery. It's my pleasure to highly recommend him and his staff.

Member Response:

There is NO scientific evidence to support your feelings. I do not know how you came upon this opinion. You should seek face to face consultations with ASPS members that can provide you photographic evidence that your options are not true. Sincerely, Dr. Kulick

Member Response:

Yes you should be able to receive a cheek filler and a neurotoxin before your surgery. To be sure you should ask your surgeon that is performing your surgical lip lift.

Eyelid Surgery

Member Response:

Your are not alone. You can have your procedure. All surgical procedures have risks. By asking question, this is the first step. Having a face-to-face consultation with a board certified ASPS member should be your next step. Hope this helps.

Member Response:

I like others am confused with your terminology. A "Z" pasty can be performed as w way to directly reduce neck skin laxity. I suggest you consult with a board certified pasty surgeon to help you with your concerns.

Tummy Tuck

Member Response:

The real key is your health and the examination that occurs at the time of your consultation. Your expectations are also important. That is the value of a consultation with a Board Certified plastic surgeon. You should be guided based on your surgeon's experience. Hope this helps

Tummy Tuck

Member Response:

You made the first step by reaching out to ASPS. Your next step is to seek out a face-to-face consultation with a ASPS member in your area. There are many options to chose from based on the evaluation of your actual condition. However, I do not think that you would need a tummy tuck given your age. Lipo under the chin?

Liposuction

Member Response:

This is the beauty of liposuction - it can reduce isolated areas of unwanted fat. As all have mentioned having a face-to-face consultation is your first step. This is a very common concern. Sincerely, Dr. K

Cost

Liposuction

Member Response:

As many above have mentioned, while cost is a factor, it should not be your current focus. A face-to-face consultation with a ASPS member should be your next step. Depending on what areas you want treated, a lot of skin elasticity is reduced by the time one reaches 51 y/o. Having hanging skin may be the outcome if fat is removed. Cost

Arm Lift

Member Response:

The cost varies with the location, how long you procedure would take, the type of anesthesia etc. Thus, the best way for you to find out the cost for you procedure is to contact an ASPS member in your area. Hope this helps.

Scarring

Dermal Fillers

Member Response:

There are may treatment options for scars, including atrophic scars. See the link below for scar treatment options. The problem for providing you sound advice vs. discussing all pathways for treating scars is that I do not know what your scar looks like. Best for you to see a ASPS doctor in your area to actually look at you scars and provide you options based on your clinical exam. That should be your next step. Hello - Your doing the correct thing by reaching out for advice. A scar revision may be the right thing for you. Your next step is to have a consultation with an ASPS plastic surgeon. Following that meeting, you will have a better idea of your options and costs. Good Luck !

Do tummy tuck scars go away?

Tummy Tuck

Member Response:

Great questions! The most important component is that you do NOT assume that you will have an ugly scar. Scars are permanent but not always ugly. Most scars improve with time. For sure, some patients scars may benefit from a revision. The upside is that you will receive a flatter tummy area and you can wear your two-piece swim suit.

How much pain can you expect after a breast augmentation surgery?

Breast Augmentation

Member Response:

There are two factors that determine one's "pain" after a procedure. One is the actual procedure and most would agree if the implants are put below the muscle vs. on top of the muscle, the former is more painful. How one processes the painful stimuli is another important factor. Some patients have a lower pain threshold. However, your consultation with a Board Certified plastic surgeon will determine the correct implant placement and post operative pain management. Regarding the opioid crisis, this usually is referring to doctors that provide opioids for financial gain vs. following a surgical procedure. If you need to use narcotic, that's the right thing to do. Hope this helps.

I feel I received the BEST facelift ever from Dr. Kulick and I am 1 year after surgery – facelift and lower eyelids. I looked at his website and all of the patients looked naturally younger and not pulled. There was a smooth transition between my lower eyelid and cheek. As a hair stylist, I was so happy that I did not have scars in the hairline behind my ears. My scars are barely visible and this is important as I have darker skin that is prone to being raised. Even my close friends can’t tell why I look so much better. I had to travel a long way to find Dr. Kulick and it was well worth it! Thank you again Dr. Kulick for being the doctor you are. Sincerely Micki
Greg Murray - Here I am again. It has been almost 26 years since my accident. I had 70% of my body burned. This accident happened in California. However, I now live on the East Coast and continue to return to Dr. Kulick. Not every doctor can deal with 25 year old scars. Dr. Kulick has been my surgeon since this has happened. Dr. Kulick is awesome and my hero. Dr. Kulick continues to provide updated techniques to deal with releasing scar bands to increase my range of motion in my neck and arms. I have the utmost respect and confidence in Dr. Kulick. Thank you once again for the most recent surgeries that has given me major range of motion to my neck and arm. Thank you once again Dr. Kulick. See you in the Spring.
Elizabeth Hill - a week ago Dr. Kulick provided me with first class care and attention during my hand surgery, post op care, and follow up visits. He was meticulous in following my progress, even though my procedure was relatively simple. My hand is completely pain free now. With his guidance and encouragement about my hand exercises I was able to make the necessary progress on my own during shelter in place, without requiring outpatient therapy. This was a really good experience with a great outcome!
Maria Abramson, AuD - 2 weeks ago Dr. Kulick is the BEST plastic surgeon in San Francisco, or anywhere! He dealt with my hands and overall made me look better and younger!! He cared and listened to my concerns and demonstrated compassion for my situation. For both the cosmetic surgery and reconstructive problems, Dr. Kulick knows what to do. I am much better, and the recommend him highly. He is simply the best!
Nandini Nag - Dr Kulick is a fantastic surgeon. He is not only an expert in his field and a renowned academic - but also he takes the time to understand the aesthetic requirements of his patients. I had a procedure done by him and the results haven been outstanding while looking completely natural - this is testament to his skills and experience as a surgeon. He patiently answered all my questions and addressed my concerns . He also ensured that we have multiple consultations to align on the outcome so that I am happy with the results- which I am . I would highly recommend him .
After making the big decision to have facial surgery finding the best surgeon may be even a greater decision. It's been 6 years since my surgery and I look naturally younger than my peers. I attribute this to the artistry , competence and caring of Dr. Kulick. Dr. Kulick makes sure you don't look different, only younger. The healing process was so rapid that a month later I was at a friend's wedding and nobody knew I had anything done except that I looked great after my vacation!!
Mark Swartz - Michael is a truly gifted surgeon. My wife's procedure was perfect, and the results after 10 years are still outstanding. He also helped with the baggage under my eyes and I am most pleased. No flash, just great results. High Confidence in Dr. Kulick.
Nicholas Ferris - I had surgery on my index finger and Dr Kulick has been thorough, direct, and helpful throughout the experience. He keeps to appointment times and I couldn’t ask for a better hand surgeon and overall experience. Thank you!
KGF - A decision to undertake aesthetic plastic surgery is a very personal experience. In my case, it took me several years of contemplation to take this big step. My primary concern was about finding the appropriate surgeon that had the technical skills and communication abilities I could trust, with regards to my face. I reviewed websites and consulted with several in both the San Francisco and L.A. areas. I also spoke with friends who had similar concerns, many of which had cosmetic surgery performed by other doctors. After doing my research, I felt most comfortable with Dr. Kulick. He was very good with communicating with me before the surgery, as well as post op. I had some post op concerns and Dr. Kulick called me directly to get me down from the recovery shelf of anxiety. I had a vertical lower facelift procedure, as well as lip augmentation. Today I am very happy with my results and would highly recommend Dr. Kulick. He deals with both physical and emotional concerns. He is the best!
