Meet Dr. Ellen Janetzke
Dr. Ellen Janetzke is a board certified Plastic Surgeon and one of the few female surgeons who specializes in breast augmentation, breast reduction and reconstructive surgery. While maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics and surgical techniques, Dr. Ellen and her staff are equally focused on nurturing the doctor-patient relationship. The most important aspect of that relationship is listening to the patient. She recognizes how important it is to make sure her patients are fully aware of the procedure they are undertaking. Her ability to understand, anticipate and fulfill patient expectations, honestly and realistically, has gained her a reputation as both a gifted surgeon and a caring doctor.
Your Consultation
Dr. Ellen sees new patients on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. Your consultation appointment will last approximately an hour. You will first meet with my Patient Coordinator Meghan, she will walk you through how we as a team approach your care, second you will meet with my Physician Assistant Kim. Kim will do a thorough health history review with you, explain your procedures of interest and how they are performed, she will also explain your recovery process so that you can know what to expect. I will come in and meet with you to take a peek at your areas of concern, give you recommendations, and help you understand what you can look forward to with your new look. i also offer the Crisalix 3D/4D imaging system to help you see the new you! If you are a medical patient using insurance you will meet with my Insurance Specialist Sharon. Sharon will go over your benefits, liabilities and explain how we work with you and your insurance company.

Before having breast reduction surgery I was a confident person on the inside but a shy and reserved person on the outside. Growing up I loved to play sports. As I got older it became harder to participate because of my larger chest. I wanted to be active but, I just couldn’t gain the endurance or stamina needed. Being petite at 4’ 11 1/2″ tall, I was insecure about the way I looked. I would choose clothes based on how they fit and how they could hide my bigger chest. Claiming myself as a tomboy, was just part of my body insecurity of how clothes that I wanted to wear just didn’t fit right, or how I wasn’t comfortable in my own skin. Even though on the inside I wanted to broaden my horizons and try new things. I had thought about having breast reduction surgery in the past but was too nervous to do it because I had never had surgery before. I had no idea what the recovery process was going to be and how I would handle it. After losing weight while working for a landscaping company during the summer of 2015, the weight of my chest was starting to cause strain on my shoulders. This strain then created a lot of pain in my shoulders. I started thinking more seriously about the surgery when my brother became engaged. Knowing that I was going to be standing up in his wedding gave me the push I needed to finally come in for the consultation. This surgery has impacted my life in the best way possible. My brother’s wedding was a big turning point for me. Picking out a dress, high heels and experiencing getting my hair, makeup, and nails done was a big deal for me. When relatives would comment that I looked great, I would comment back saying that I felt great! Since the surgery, my whole attitude and outlook on life have changed. I am now a happy go lucky confident person who is ready to take on the world. I’m wearing more flattering clothes that I would have never even thought to try on. Before I would sit on the sidelines thinking about activities I wanted to do and now I just do them!! This year I have tried pilates, and kickboxing signed up for a gym membership for the first time and recently participated in my first 5K. I’m excited to see what the future holds!!
Dr Janetzke and her staff were incredible. A different person to oversee each aspect of the procedure, from insurance questions, to paper work to pre and post op care. Not to mention the medical staff was accessible by email whenever I had questions after my surgery, which was so convenient. Dr Janetzke did an incredible job with the surgery and I had zero complications.
