Your Consultation

New patient appointments are usually scheduled for afternoon hours Monday through Thursday, consistent with Dr. Parker's surgical schedule. The New Jersey plastic surgery consultation will provide an opportunity to explore your options and discuss your procedures in detail. The consultation also usually includes educational videotapes, a review of photographic examples of other patients' results and may include computer imaging.

We obtain color photographs of most patients before and after surgery. Preoperatively these photographs can be "imaged" or morphed in certain cases to give the patient a idea of what surgery might do. These images are not a guarantee of results, but intended to help you imagine the possibilities of plastic surgery. Imaging is particularly helpful for the following surgeries: rhinoplastyliposuctionfacelift, browlift , eyelid surgery.

How soon safe it is.

Liposuction

Member Response:

Most commonly, we will combine these procedures for efficiency--ie, one procedure, one anesthesia and one recovery. If that is not possible, discuss the timing with your plastic surgeon and anesthesiologist to see what they recommend. It may vary from patient to patient based on a variety of factors.

Anesthesia Concerns

Breast Augmentation

Member Response:

Not all the procedures we do require an anesthesiologist. For those that do (ie, general anesthesia or monitored sedation), we arrange an anesthesia consultation to meet with our anesthesiologist be sure we proceed with safety.

I would think breast augmentation is your best option. Discuss your displeasure with your surgeon as well as options such as augmentation.

Cold water should not affect the survival of the fat grafts . Be sure to discuss postop instructions with your surgeon however to be sure that you and they are on the same page.

How dangerous is the Brazilian Butt lift surgery?

Body Contouring

Member Response:

Fat injected into the subcutaneous tissue of the buttocks should be a safe procedure in well trained hands. Once that fat survives and becomes incorporated into your existing buttock tissues, it should last a long time. This should give a natural look. Filler substances are not likely to provide a good long term solution for the buttocks.

It would make sense to replace both implants at the same procedure since they have been in place for 29 years.

Is it safe

Mommy Makeover

Member Response:

Multiple procedures can be performed safely by a well trained , board certified plastic surgeon experienced in the procedures being performed. This should be done in a hospital of fully certified ambulatory surgical center with a board certified anesthesiologist or equivalent present. Carefully review the plan with your surgeon so the procedures can be staged to minimize anesthesia time.

Gynecomastia

Breast Reduction

Member Response:

Since you've had gynecomastia for 3 years it is unlikely it will go away be itself. Best advice is to obtain a face to face consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. They can examine you and discuss treatment options. Their staff can also provide you with costs for the procedure. This will vary based on geographic location, the surgeon as well as the specifics of what is being done.

Health issue

Mommy Makeover

Member Response:

Type 2 diabetes in and of itself does not rule you out for having a mommy makeover. Best advice is to obtain a face to face consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. They will examine you and discuss options. In addition, they will require a note of medical clearance from you primary care physician.

Breast Reduction Vs Bellasoma Method

Breast Reduction

Member Response:

Plastic surgeons often do things somewhat differently from one another. A breast reduction from DD to C cup will involve a lift as well. How that is achieved will vary based on the surgeon. I have found a vertical reduction and lift to provide excellent shape to the breasts afterwards.

smooth implants

Breast Augmentation

Member Response:

There is some movement of both types of implants, particularly when placed under both breast and muscle. This movement is temporary during exercise and as soon as the patient stops, the implant returns to its original position. This does not usually present a problem for the patient.

Breast Augmentation

Be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon. They will listen to your concerns, examine you, discuss the procedure of breast implant removal, otherwise known as explantation, and recovery from it.

Removal/replace?

Breast Augmentation

Member Response:

It's not clear to me if a mammogram done 5 months ago allowed the diagnosis of a ruptured implant. If a mammogram was done 5 months ago, should not need another one now. If not, it makes sense to have a mammogram prior to implant removal.

It is unlikely that your implants are causing your hypertension. You should discuss this with your pcp to be sure your blood pressure is under good control and if there is any underlying cause for it.

Will i asleep doing breast augmentation surgery with slicone breast implants

Breast Augmentation

Member Response:

Most surgeons will have the patient receive general anesthesia for breast augmentation. We have out patients wear a sports bra for support in the first few weeks following breast augmentation. Once fully healed, you should be able to resume all activities , including marathon running following your surgery. Discuss all of this with your surgeon so that they can answer these questions directly.
