Step 2 – Surgical procedure

There are many procedures that can be performed to give the face a more feminine appearance. The requirements of each person will vary to obtain optimal results. Not every person will require full facial feminization.

Facial feminization is highly individualized. The procedures commonly employed to feminize the face include forehead contouring, hairline advancement, brow lift and eyelid lift, cheek augmentation, rhinoplasty, lip augmentation, jaw reduction, chin surgery and Adam's apple reduction (tracheal shave).

Although your goals for your facial feminization surgery may be completed in one surgery, sometimes multiple surgeries are required. You and your surgeon will work together to determine a surgical plan that meets your needs and goals.
