2024 ASPS In-Service Exams Test your plastic surgery knowledge!

The 2024 ASPS In-Service Exams offer the most up-to-date, challenging and comprehensive content in plastic surgery for the ultimate test of your knowledge! Your results provide a clear picture of your strengths and help you identify key areas in need of further study. Residents should coordinate with their training programs, while surgeons can earn up to 67.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ when they successfully complete both the In-Service Exam and the L3E Aesthetic In-Service.

In-Service Exam for Surgeons

The 2024 In-Service/Self-Assessment Exam is broken out across five modules: Cosmetic, Hand, Craniomaxillofacial, Comprehensive and Core Surgical Principles. The exam provides experienced surgeons with a comprehensive review of the core curriculum of plastic surgery keeping their skills sharp and knowledge fresh.

The In-Service Exam is comprised of a question and answer examination, an individual score sheet, a normative table and rationales with references. All questions were reviewed and found to be objective and supported by appropriate review of the literature and aligned with evidence-based research. The content in this educational activity has been reviewed by peers and professionals to determine that it is fair, balanced and unbiased.

Life-Long Learning Exercise

The Life-Long Learning Exercise (L3E): 2024 Aesthetic In-Service is comprised of a question and answer self-assessment, individual score sheet and rationales with references. All questions were peer-reviewed and found to be objective and supported by appropriate review of the literature and align with evidence-based research.

Accreditation

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Designation

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) designates each enduring material for the number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ listed below. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

In-Service Exam for Surgeons
37.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™*
7.5 of the 37.5 credits have been identified as applicable to Patient Safety.

L3E: Aesthetic In-Service
30 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™*
6 of the 30 credits have been identified as applicable to Patient Safety.
*Minimum passing score required.

Recognition Statement

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME and Self-Assessment requirement(s) of the American Board of Surgery's (ABS) Continuous Certification program. As a provider, ASPS is facilitating this process for our learners for all ASPS-accredited medical education activities.

Participants in ASPS-accredited education who want their Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits reported to certifying and state licensing boards must opt-in to reporting and add their NPI as well as state license ID and/or collaborating board ID(s). Click here before claiming credit.
