ASPS Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR)

What is ASPS-QCDR?

The 2018 ASPS QCDR has been approved!

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons' Qualified Clinical Data Registry (ASPS-QCDR) is a CMS-approved entity that:

  • Allows Merit-Based Incentive Program Payment System (MIPS)/Quality Payment Program (QPP) reporting for Eligible Clinicians reporting as individuals or groups for:
    • Quality: report QPP measures and additional non-QPP measures (ASPS QCDR will include 26 QPP measures; 12 QCDR measures specific to plastic surgery; and 3 Quality Improvement Measures (not reportable to CMS))
    • Improvement Activities: report your Improvement Activities (IA), a new category introduced in 2017, to earn additional points toward an incentive payment
    • Promoting Interoperabilty (formerly Advancing Care Information) – report your PI measures for your certified EHR
  • Provides national and peer benchmark information to allow clinicians to evaluate the quality of their care compared to other physicians and to develop quality improvement plans to correct gaps in care
    • Provides 2 pathways for data entry
      • Allows for manual case entry, as was the process in 2016 and 2017
      • NEW – Integrates with your EHR to pull in your data automatically for measure reporting for the Quality category (we can work with almost any EHR- please contact if you have questions)

MIPS has several participation options for 2018 – learn more here.
