Endorsed Guidelines Developed by Other Medical Societies

The following guidelines have been endorsed by the ASPS. The ASPS uses the AGREE-II instrument to determine whether the guideline is developed with an evidence-based process and is applicable to plastic surgeons. Endorsement decisions are approved by the ASPS Executive Committee.

American Academy of Neurology

Infectious Diseases Society of America

Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) represents physicians, scientists and other health care professionals who specialize in infectious diseases. IDSA clinical practice guidelines are based on sound scientific evidence for diverse diseases, conditions and interventions.

National Comprehensive Cancer Network

The NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®) comprise recommendations on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of malignancies across the continuum of care. The guidelines currently apply to more than 97% of patients living with cancer in the United States and incorporate real-time updates in keeping with the rapid advancements in the field of cancer research and management.
