ASPS & ACS: Joint Health Policy Scholarship Available

Every year the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons partner to offer a scholarship to Brandeis University's Leadership Program in Health Policy and Management. The seven- day program is attended by 30-35 physician and surgeon leaders who work to identify solutions to improve the quality, cost-effectiveness and efficiency of health care service delivery in the United States.

The course will take place from June 2 to 8, 2019 at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. Scholarship recipients will receive $8,000 to be used toward the cost of tuition, travel, housing, and subsistence during the program.

The scholarship is open to all active members in good standing of both ASPS and ACS between the ages of 30-60 years of age. Applicants are required to submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae and a one-page essay discussing why the applicant wishes to receive the scholarship and how the scholarship will fill a gap in applicant's training/experience.

Applications will be accepted through February 1. One awardee will be selected by a committee of ACS and ASPS members. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of the selection process by early April 2019.
