PlastyPAC Supports ASPS Member, Terri Hill, MD

In January, the PlastyPAC Board of Governors unanimously voted to support the campaign of ASPS member and Maryland state legislator, Terri Hill, MD who is running in the special election primary in Maryland's 7th Congressional District to fill the seat of the late Rep. Elijah Cummings. PlastyPAC member Douglas Forman, MD, MBA, FACS requested that the Board consider Dr. Hill's candidacy given her strong track record of supporting issues critical to plastic surgery.

For almost 30 years, Dr. Hill has been in private practice providing reconstructive and cosmetic services to patients in her community. In addition to running her own practice, Dr. Hill has diligently served in the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Baltimore and Howard Counties since 2014. As a member of the Health and Government Operations Committee, she has been a proven leader on healthcare issues and has sponsored legislation aimed at addressing prior authorization, health record and payment integration, family planning, and concussion management. Dr. Hill believes that all patients should have access to affordable and quality healthcare at the federal level, and that's a priority that she has clearly articulated along the campaign trail.

The Democratic primary election will take place on February 4, 2020, and Dr. Hill will be competing against 23 challengers in order to advance to the general election on April 28, 2020.
