New in 2026: In-Service Retake Exams

All domestic plastic surgery program residents will be given access to the In-Service Retake Exam beginning in May.

Separate registration is not needed for our domestic programs to retest after the March exam. In-Service Retake Exams will be available through the resident's "My Courses" tab via ASPS EdNet and may be conducted at the program's discretion from May until January.

International participants may email ahoffman@plasticsurgery.org for information on pricing for resident individuals.

Exams are conducted via the ASPS Education Network (ASPS EdNet). All material covered in the March exam will be represented in randomized order through this retest. Exam modules will be timed, and programs may elect to provide staff members to manually proctor their examinees. No additional software is required.

  • Provides opportunity to show improvement over March exam
  • No proctoring software required
  • Immediate access to scores by module
  • In-Service Exam Review: Surgeon Performance Insight (SPI) report provides a diagnostic tool to review the content areas that the examinee most often missed and review of its related rationales.

Comprehensive Self-Assessment Tool (CSAT)

All plastic surgery residents registered for the In-Service Exam will receive access to the CSAT.

Complimentary access to the Comprehensive Self-Assessment Tool will begin for residents the first week in December and may be accessed through the residents 'MyCourses' tab via ASPS EdNet. Access to this tool will remain available through the following November.
