International Residents World Cup
Introducing the inaugural ASPS global competition for international residents in plastic surgery!

This one-of-a-kind competition brings together plastic surgery training programs from around the world to compete for the title of International Residents World Cup champion! Teams of up to four residents will be asked questions on case studies and the core curriculum of plastic surgery.

Congratulations to the plastic surgery training program of Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Peru for winning the inaugural ASPS International Residents World Cup. Sixteen teams from around the globe competed for the title July 1-2 in a single-elimination virtual tournament.

2023 Bracket

How to Play

Each matchup consists of 10 multiple-choice questions leading to a final championship game consisting of 15 questions. Each member of the team will answer every question individually, and scoring will be based on both accuracy and speed. Team members may consult with one another before answering, but time is precious and taking longer to answer could negatively impact the score.

At the end of each round, the overall team score will be the average of each individual participant's score. The team with the highest total score will win the game and advance to the next round.
